About Sunridge Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Magill graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 1976. Shortly thereafter he relocated to Calgary. Sunridge Veterinary Clinic has been his "veterinary" home since 1989, but before that he was associated with three other veterinary clinics in the city.

During his career, Dr. Magill has also been involved with other aspects of veterinary medicine. He has served on the executive board of the Calgary Academy of Veterinary Medicine, was on the Board of Directors for the Calgary Humane Society and Western Drug Distribution Centre(WDDC) in Edmonton, and for 17 years, he taught Hematology and Ethics to the animal nursing students at S.A.I.T..

He has been Honored twice by being chosen as the Veterinarian of the Year, once by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and once by the Alberta Humane Society. Dr. Magill has 4 children and over the years they have had a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs and tropical fish. Today he and his wife share their home with their Belgium Tervuren, Keely.

They never pressure me to do any unnecessary medical procedures like other vets have prior. The doctors do a wonderful job of taking care of my babies whether it's routine check-up or surgery. Thank you for everything you do! ?

D	Debbie Cale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They neutered and tattooed my little kitten, Scoop for 8am. Drop off was easy. They updated me as soon as he woke up from surgery. Assured me he was fine and I could pick him up by 1pm. Earliest pick up ever in my history. I was eager to see him, so I arrived at 1pm. He was alert and seemed fine. They gave him a reversal agent for the anesthetic, and it was amazing stuff. He was a happy little kitten, youd never know he went through such a procedure only hours before. Thank you Sunridge Veterinarians and staff, you rock ❤
B	BRAVI KITCHENS on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst service ever. They don't know how to handle dogs bigger than the hamster. Bad attitude to the clients, blaming, threatening. Definitely I would not recommend this scammers at all.

Was assured by the vet that after his round of meds to bring in another pee sample for another analysis to make sure the infection was gone and that it would be included with the initial bill I already paid. They made me pay an additional $50 for the second urine analysis which the vet reassured me would be free as a follow up. The lack of communication is a joke. Don’t tell someone and reassure them a service will be free or included in their initial bill then make them pay. Never had this happen at a vet but I forsure won’t bring back my dog.
L	L. Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I take my Lab Ruby here for her shots and checkups. Nice friendly, knowledgeable staff, who really care about animals. The veterinary doctor was very knowledgeable and offered many solutions to my pups ear infection. (Sorry forgot the Vets name).
