★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i showed up and there was a sign on the door that said ‘back in 5 minute’ so i waited.. the chick in side saw me she was doing something out back. i waited some more. she walked to the cash. then grabbed a broom and walk back to the back. i waited.. another person came and we waited together.. the clerk then started vacuuming. i waited there for 15. then i left. make a more realistic sign.. i.e. “dealing with something: ill be back in 30” im going elsewhere for artsupplies.. bridgeland, inglewood, 17th, theres other spots. ✌?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pat is one of the best art supplies guy you would meet. Everything you need for your art juices to be flowing, you will find it here. Must visit and shop at this local store, you will be amazed at the quality of their products. I will never be going back to Amazon, etsy or michaels over this place. Thankyou so much for helping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just moved to Kensington less than a week ago and stopped by Sunnyside Art in search of brushes. Pat and Shirley were both very friendly - we stood and spoke about miniature modelling and painting until the store closed. I was even allowed to test some synthetic squirrel brushes - very impressive water capacity for synthetic fiber.
Sunnyside Art doesn't even SELL wargaming miniatures, but they were happy to listen and give suggestions on colour choices. Been back ever since, and as always things were amazing. Pat & Shirley have also offered to give me feedback on colour choices and lighting values for my painting projects, which isn't something you can just casually stroll into a big box store and get.
Just be aware that this is a small family business and it's not exactly overflowing with staff. It helps to be patient when someone else is being assisted at that particular moment in time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely store to pop in for your art supplies. My partner and I happened by this store by chance, and it has everything we needed, and a few extra items that we will be back for. Shirl is brilliant and sweat, who will be more than happy enough to answer any of your questions, or to help you find everything you need. We haven't met Shirl's husband, but I'm sure he's lovely too

Although, I didn’t buy much, I was compelled to write a nice review for him and his store. It’s nice to support local when we can. Especially at this trying time. The world needs more peace and compassion. Peace out.
