Let me preface this by saying that I don't normally write reviews. However, the experience I had in the Suetables Montreal store was the WORST experience of my life. I am also a person of colour, and noticed that I was the only one being treated this poorly, but you can take that piece of information how you would like. One of the sales associates, who was older and had red hair, was the most condescending, arrogant, and egocentric people I have ever met. This all started with a ring – my first ever purchase from Suetables – that ended up tarnishing about a day after I had bought it. I went into the store on Monday November 23 to inquire about what could be done about the defective ring. While Emily was trying to understand my case, the red-haired lady immediately snapped. She took a quick peer over her shoulder, probably a 2 second glance at the ring, and kept repeating “Nope. Nothing’s wrong. Nope, I don’t see it”. She didn't bother looking at the ring or listening to what I had to say. Not to mention, BOTH times that I visited, the red-haired lady was eating without her facemask on, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. She only did this if I was the ONLY one in the store. Furthermore, both sales associates that evening told me that I couldn’t return anything all week, but misinformed me as there were actually only certain days that I couldn't make a return (this was not one of those days), therefore causing me to go back to the store for a 3rd time to return my things. Emily tried to assist me with the defective item, but I decided to reach out to the online store and ended up speaking to Mckenzie. After speaking with Mckenzie and feeling cared for, I went into the store again (December 1) to return my things with a more optimistic mindset. However, my second visit was ultimately, the final blow. When I entered the store and reached the checkout, the red-haired lady was once again, eating right in front of my face during a global pandemic where EVERYONE is always required to have their mask on indoors. She even said to me, “I hope you don’t mind that I’m eating. I’m sure you don’t want me to faint”. Next, I attempt to return my pieces, and the red-haired lady ends up refunding me the WRONG AMOUNT. She calls her manager to fix her mess, all while misinforming the manager (as I can hear the phone call) but I don’t want to interrupt. After refunding to my credit card LESS than what I paid for, she ends up handing me a $10 bill and saying something along the lines of “The difference was actually around $8, but you can just keep the change” as if I was some sort of person in need of her money. I trusted that this was the correct amount, therefore, I hadn’t actually calculated the difference for myself. When I left the store, I calculated that the difference was actually $11.05. So I go inside again, stating that she had miscalculated (which she didn’t even bother doing for herself, relying completely on the manager over the phone to do the calculation) and expecting a simple, “I’m so sorry about that, here’s the correct amount”. Nope. She says to me, “WOOOW, I OWE YOU AN EXTRA ONE DOLLAR AND FIVE CENTS???!!!!” (in the most sarcastic, condescending tone) and proceeds to find me crack change – they gave me $1.05 in nickels and quarters. She also proceeds to look at me dead in the eyes and has the audacity to say that she was doing me a favour by refunding my items. Last time I checked, making a return is not “doing a favour” and she was the one who made the erroneous return in the first place. As someone who looks quite young for my age and being an ethnic minority, I don’t know if that is what influenced this lady’s behaviour towards me. Nonetheless, this was unacceptable behaviour on behalf of ANYONE towards ANYONE. The only redeeming factor was that Emily and Mckenzie were quite helpful, and that their jewelry is great (from my 2nd purchase). I am all for supporting local, but I will not be returning to this store.

My experience at Suetables was extraordinary. I received white glove service from a lady named Beatty? (orange curly hair). It took me a while to make up my mind, as there are so many beautiful rings, chains and charms. The salesperson was patient and helpful despite my indecisiveness. I feel like both the products, the price point and the staff are A+. Definitely going to shop here again, thanks to the old fashioned client-centered approach.

Beautiful displays of both solid gold and gold plated/filled jewelry (very affordable). Staff was very warm and helpful! Left with great pieces.

I went to get my wife a birthday present. The red hair lady (sorry, I don’t remember her name) was super nice and helped me pick out the perfect piece. My wife loved it! I would definitely recommend this boutique, the staff were great.

If you are looking for high quality jewelry I would not buy from Suetables. I bought a 10k gold charm and it didn't feel or look like real gold. It had marks on it and was damaged. I went to the store to exange it for a new one and it was damaged also ! The refund process and the customer service was great but the jewelry is of very bad quality.
