★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've played on sports teams for as long as I can remember. From soccer to squash to volleyball. I've never felt more part of a team than I do at Submissions BJJ. There is a familial feeling to being on this team that you will notice right away. Other than the completely positive vibe, you get in amazing shape from BJJ in general. Nothing will make you stronger or give you more cardio than BJJ.
I would and do recommend this team to anyone and everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You would not find a place so dedicated to the art of BJJ. From Professor Peter to coaches like Lee, Ninad, Cory and Derek (children coach) to the other members at every level are very supportive. Myself and my son have been here for a while learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Children learn self discipline, ethics and sense of community which lacks alot in the modern world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good technical Bjj teachings. With that said, I just ended both my kids memberships after only one month of joining the academy. I have 8 year old twins and they absolutely love Bjj. They’ve been training since they were 5 years of age, however unfortunately it only took them 1 month in this academy to start to hate the sport. Despite the good technical training they received here, it was emotionally traumatising for them. The coaches there repeatedly shoved, yelled at and name called my kids for innocent mistakes any 8 year old would do. It is as though the trainers take pleasure in insulting Kids in the class( claiming that they’re teaching them discipline) but I think it’s absolute bullying. After complaining to the owner via email I received a reply with a refund and no apology. They didn’t even address my concerns as a client or as a parent. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
