Very good location. Right In St.Albert, safe at night with many areas for you to wander around brightly lit. Josie has been absolutely great since day one and made me feel welcomed and was always there to help with any questions. Thank you so much for everything. In all ways - cleanliness, security, sound proof, and quality of neighbours. Superior management, gorgeous building and suites. Highly recommend

The management in Sturgeon Point Villas are so nice and great. Special mention to Yvonne and Mohit they are so friendly and easy to deal with. If we didn’t purchase a new house we would still be staying with Boardwalk .??????

I give 2 stars instead of one simply because the employees here are genuinely trying to do their job. but they lack professionalism. The process in and of itself to get an apartment is very simple, but the employees made it very confusing, saying one thing one minute, then completely denying it the next. It made for a very frustrating process that eventually fell through. Not to mention the building themselves are not up kept nearly enough. Dirt and stains are visible on the walls in the halls, spider webs in apartments that were being viewed. Lighting is weak and will promptly give you a headache. Can’t forget that for some odd reason the entire building has some weird curry like smell, which wouldn’t be the worst thing on the planet if the building wasn’t located next to the river, which is also revolting in smell due to pollution and littering.

Boardwalk Apartment at Sturgeon Point Villas i would say is a part of our memories. Both of my child born there. We stayed there for more than 7 years and it was a pleasure. The unit was nice and the backyard scenery was amazing. People who work there was doing an excellent job especially "Mohit". I would highly recommend this place to rent ?

This is an amazing building in a amazing area! But sadly smokers smells keep leaking into our apartment and in the hallways. Can you guys please make them stop smoking? or maybe build a place outside the building for smokers to smoke so they don't bother the other tenants. Other then that this is an wonderful building!

I looked at the google reviews for Sturgeon Point Villas in February and was surprised to see the low rating and the types of complaints. I noted however that the poor reviews were older ones and the most recent one was five stars. My wife had lived here for quite a few years when she first moved to St Albert as a child, and remembered them fondly, hence my surprise at the low rating. I phoned and spoke with Esther at the on site office and felt she was quite polite, professional and sincere. When we came to view a couple of the apartments, I was impressed with Esther's authenticity in person and was put at ease regarding the questions we had. We were very happy with the way they had renovated the apartments - my wife remembering how they used to be. At the time of our first viewing there were no south facing apartments and we appreciate the sun in the winter time. We came back in March (to honour and ask for St Joseph's intercession) and there was a south facing apartment that was two patios down from where my wife had lived as a teenager! The floors were recently replaced with grey laminate flooring, the bathroom had new tile floors, new sink, new vanity counter top, new tile around the shower/tub, new faucets, new door accessories etc, the kitchen had a new stainless steel double sink, new counter top, new stove/oven, new refrigerator, and the walls were smooth and painted well. The laundry room is cleaned regularly and the machines are in good condition/nearly new. They have a very convenient way of paying to use them - a phone app which is easy to use. We have been here now over three months and are very happy with the apartment as well as the staff we have been served by. Our neighbours in this building are very amiable and warm. We love the view we have of the river area - we could see the river flowing by from our walkout patio window in the spring (now the grass is high and the river is very low!). Some small things that could be improved: the inside door to enter the building slams pretty hard (kind of have to to make sure it locks) and as a result it has needed to be repaired a couple times since we arrived (which it was but took a few days). Also the apartments can get hot due to the south facing black shingled slanting roof - perhaps air conditioning in the hallways would help but not much can change the receptivity of the shingles: which for 9 months of the year is a welcome feature to reduce heating costs for the owners who pay for the heating of everything and makes our outside wall warm. It seems they took the poor reviews to heart and really made an effort to make this a place a clean, warm and safer place to call home. Overall I am more than happy with Boardwalk and these apartments. Well done! God bless!

This is a lengthy review but I hope it helps you on any decision you may make about where you live! Over the years, I have lived at three other Boardwalk apartments, one a townhouse, one a coach home, and a four story apartment. They all were good places to live, BUT Sturgeon Point Villas (SPV) in St. Albert is the crown jewel in their portfolio. The architecture is quite unique. Every unit will have at least one exterior wall that is at a 45 degree angle inside your apartment which means your window(s) on that wall has that same dimension. A great decorating opportunity or challenge! Basically the complex living areas generally have NE, E, SE and southern exposures. The western end of your apartment will either be a galley kitchen or perhaps bedroom with a window. Apparently some units get very warm in the summer. So far my unit is perfect. I open my kitchen window that faces west, open my using balcony door and bedroom window on theast face and I get a great cross breeze! Location, location, location and stunning views! Sturgeon Point Villas is adjacent to St.Alber Centre mall, St. Albert transit station and you can walk to Canadian Tire and Safeway! Parking is a $10 monthly charge. Some stalls are partially covered by a building overhang. There are some double stalls available meaning they are two deep, great for a couple with two cars. Talk about walking? Out your window you will see a wonderful paved walking/bike trail and a foot bridge over the Sturgeon River. I will post a picture below. The trail system is well used by all and all ages. The unit I just moved into is well maintained. Extremely happy with the interior. The paint job is professional. No runs, no clumpy spots or visible filled nail holes. The bathroom is small but beautifully appointed with large white wall tile and a light gray floor tile. Ooooh and a right height toilet - the type that you can easily stand up after! Not like the old ones that you felt like you needed a grab bar or rope to pull yourself up! LOL! I am not sure that all units have them, but over time I am sure they are replacing the old ones. My stove is a new glass top electric range and a newer fridge. Only drawback is that it is a smaller unit with the traditional freezer on top, so you need to stoop over to look into the fridge. Ah first world problems! All good though. I can.t complain because it works very well and is relatively new and was very clean upon move-in. This week they are rejuvenating the common hallways and reception vestibules. Prepping the walls to paint and removing the old original dropped ceiling tiles. And they are adding a gym for the residents to use! There is a third party daycare in the complex and I love hearing the kids outside laughing and playing. SPV is not for you if you don't like large apartment complexes SPV has over 400 units that sprawls beside a beautiful green space and the Sturgeon River.
