We thought it would be easier to preorder the chair mat that we wanted and do curb side pickup. I have a Preferred Staples account because I'm a small business owner. We checked the website which said your store had over 20 in stock. I placed the order and expected the "quick pickup" to be notified within 2 hours. Late in the day, still no "ready for pickup" email, I called the local number. The IVR said for local delivery press 6, I didn't have a delivery, I had a pick up so I chose another option and did not get the local store. Once we got that sorted, he told me that I had selected the wrong IVR option and would need to call the store directly. As I had NOT dialed the 1-888 number but the local store, I was a bit confused. He cared not and told me to deal with the local store. Okee dokee. I call the local store. Well did you get an email telling you it's ready? no, that's why I'm calling, the website said you have it in stock. Well, you need to wait for the email. Okee dokee. Wait.... three days then get a vague email that says "partial shipment of your order is available for pick up at the store". On the positive side, pick up was easy and our item was there. What would I have liked to see differently? If either people answering the phone could see that I chose the wrong option, and was not slated for 2-hour quick pickup, please help me change it, or tell me what I need to do on my end to fix it.

Saturday afternoon... 3 employees standing at thier stations doing nothing. Went to one to ask for help to purchase $300 wireless ear buds. No one showed up in 20 mins and the person l went to saw me coming over and went in back. Contacted the 2 store managers and told them the issue. They didn't seem to really care and offered no assistance. In these trying business times wouldn't you think they would try to be helpful to customers???

Well they have almost all the stationary items and hold good variety of that. They also do have some very good computers, laptops, tablets, Mobile phones and their accessories. Staff is assisting and try to give what you want, But they need more trainings in products. They aren't aware if what's the specifications. They read the specifications but dont know how and whats they will be used for??. Overall it was Okay experience.

Beautiful new building and everything you could possibly need for home or office. Customer service leaves something to be desired. I've been there twice looking for info on printers and ink and thankfully Google on my phone gave me answers instead. Look elsewhere first if you're wanting assistance with your purchases.

This review is for STAPLES.CA and NOT for the store but I can't leave a review for staples.ca website. 1 star is far too high for how much time we have lost in our business. We have a Staples Preferred account and spend lots of money there every year. They are trying to migrate us to use their new site staples.ca (shopify). What a joke! Give us back the old website as it works. If I could charge back Staples for our lost time, I certainly would. I believe we need need to deal with a company that has perfected online ordering such as Grand & Toy or Supreme Basics. Problem #1 - Every time I try to complete an order it tells me there is a problem as something is out of stock. Their website states it's in stock and allows me to add to cart. Someone obviously has no clue how to test websites for functionality. I have picked 3 separate items and kept trying to redo the order so it would process but the same problem happens each time. Problem #2 - Staples has a rewards system that gives you a free gift when you purchase a minimum. That would be great if it actually works. Each time I tried to complete my order, it said there was a problem due to something not being in stock (see above problem #1). Then I would remove that item, and try to apply the coupon code. It would say that you can only provide 1 code per order meaning that it was already applied. However, when I remove the item that was out of stock but technically in-stock on the website, it removed the discount. So it won't give the free give but states the code is still applied. Problem #3 - Just got an email from Staples this morning while typing this review. We placed orders yesterday and now they are stating the items we ordered are not in stock. How is this possible???? The website must have been designed by high school students. Actually that is a bit mean to high school students as they could have done better. My advice is that you don't use staples.ca unless you have a great deal of patience. Staples needs to get their stuff together.
