About Spruce Valley Boarding
Krista Lepp is a Registered Veterinary Technologist, with years of experience in animal training and emergency animal care. Partner Raphael Janisz has had pets all his life, and has tremendous patience when it comes to furry companions.
Currently we have two pets: Daffy, an incredibly sweet tortoiseshell cat and our handsome dog Apollo, a fluffy and adventurous companion.
We have been fostering dogs and cats through various rescue groups for years. Anytime friends or family needed a pet sitter, we were the first they turned to. When the opportunity arose to open up a boarding facility, we were thrilled to turn our passion into our business.
Spruce Valley Boarding’s mission is to have a safe, loving and comfortable home away from home for your companions. Through experience, integrity and compassion, we strive to relieve the stress that comes with leaving your pets in someone else’s care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were so nervous to put our pup Nash in a kennel when we went away on vacation back in May. He recently had ACL surgery and was on some strick recovery guidelines. With Krista being a former vet tech it put my husband and I at ease knowing she would know what to do with him. When we dropped him off he still had a slight limp in his walk and when we picked him up a week and a half later it was all gone. She sent us updates with progress reports and pictures during our time always and made us feel so comfortable leaving his care in someone else's hands. Will 100% be using her services in the future if we ever go away again.

Even though I moved to the north side of the city, I still take my dogs to spruce valley boarding. My first choice for boarding too. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Rufus stayed here for 4 nights. Wow! We’ve tried a couple other boarding places since we’ve moved out here. And each one I’ve felt hesitant on him returning. However, It’s safe to say he found his second home here. He is a rescue dog and has a bit of separation anxiety and has a hard time trusting. When we picked him up this afternoon I could tell he was treated like family. It feels like such a relief to have found this place. Thanks again, and we look forward to his next stay?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took our dog for a daycare trial as he will be doing a weekend trip and we were so nervous. Dropping him off I felt at ease, the owner is SO nice and explains everything. You can tell she really cares for all the dogs. Seeing photos and videos of dog when he was there made my heart so full. We are so excited to have found a place where we can drop our dog and know he will be loved and cared for.

The kennel was very clean. I loved that I was able to go back into the kennel when dropping off to see where our cat was staying. Overall, super impressed. We will be back for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot say enough good things. We had never brought our puggle to a kennel before so definitely felt nervous but Krista is so amazing and made leaving so much easier for us. We got to see photos and videos every day, and could see how happy and comfortable our girl was all week. You can tell how much she cares about animals and how skilled she is with their care. I highly highly recommend this place.

Spruce Valley boarding came highly recommended and we could not have chosen a better kennel! We picked our boy up after being gone for four days and he was completely exhausted from all of the fun he had. I highly recommend Spruce Valley boarding and I will be bringing our boy back again
