★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing!!! Both my dogs (Hank & Bandit) get very excited as they see us getting close to Perfect Place, as soon as we stop...it's out of the car and into the kennel. My dogs have been staying with Val & Steve for 9 years and I would never leave them anywhere else. I often wonder where the staff at Perfect Place come from, it amazes me that every time I go there, the staff that are working are incredible and so caring. Sometimes I think Bandit would prefer living there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dogs stayed with Perfect Place Kennels a few times over the years and most recently for a long term stay before their big move overseas. Although we were based in Calgary we chose to travel to Edmonton especially for perfect place as they are the only people who know how to handle our anxious rescue dog. Our rescue who is extremely fear aggressive always comes back from her stay full of confidence and relaxed. I can't recommend these guys enough, they genuinely love the dogs and are very patient and knowledgeable. It's a huge loss for us not having them in New Zealand!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place is the perfect place for my dogs. Hank and Bandit have been regular guests for almost 12 years. I often ask my wife how she thinks they have found such a great staff. As one person leaves and you think they would never find another staff member who could care for your dog that well, poof, another one appears.
My dogs get excited in the car as we start our approach to this wonderful acreage. On the other end, I sometimes feel like they wish they could stay a little longer. I dont know that I could enjoy my vacations without this place and the knowledge that my boys are enjoying themselves as much as we are.
To the owners, I can only say that this world is a better place thanks to animal lovers such as yourselves and your love and attention given to our furry family members is why yours is the Perfect Place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2010 - we left our then 1 year old lab mix in the care of this place while we left for Disney. It was the first and only time my family has ever and will ever leave a pet at a kennel. We dropped off over 14 days of food for our 10 day trip. When we returned to get our dog, he was emaciated, timid, covered in urine, and terrified. Our once happy pup apparently refused to eat (no contact was made), wouldn’t go out to play with the other pups, and was “aggressive” when the male owner would come around.
We got back a dog that was never the same. He was terrified of men, was sick due to the malnutrition, and was now fear aggressive. He was a perfectly normal pup prior to this.
He has now passed but I thought it worth while to share this. I will never trust someone to look after my pets again thanks to this so called “perfect place”.
