It was my first time there. Went with the pup and kiddos. Everything was dead as it was closing for the season. Even though it was closing it was still a beautiful place to walk around. It was nice that they had a dog special and let them in the park. It would be a great place to have a wedding as the buildings and facilities on the property was nicely taken care of. Although we missed the blooming season I’m 100% going to head back when it reopens so I can catch the Japanese garden. If you like plants and nature, I would recommend going to visit this place.

Have never been put to the botanical gardens. It is a beautiful and wonderful place. We did the twilight experience. Enjoyed our full evening exploring the gardens. There was live music, access to craft beers and wine. We stayed till close.

We visited for dog days and the paths were nice a clear no ice anywhere! The free hot chocolate, maple syrup taffy and fire pit stops were a great addition to the show put on by the dogs! Great photo opportunities!

Very nice place to have a leisurely walk with your family. Unfortunately when we went some of the show homes were closed to the public. Some parts of the garden were similar to the world famous gardens built by the Mughals in India.

Been there a number of times, and the most recent visit being 2021 October to do a family photo shoot. This place never ceases to amazes me. It has a lot of features. The Japanese garden is still my favourite! The Aka Khan Garden is very nice and uniquely designed. The Bontic Garden deserved to be menioned more and should be more advertised as one of the Alberta tourist attractions

With great expectations we went back to one of our favourite places near Edmonton - the Botanic Garden. The weather was nice, and the Japanese garden was gorgeous - like always. BUT: - getting two season passes literally took 10 minutes (no-one in front of us) - no butterflies were to be seen in the tropical showroom - no fancy waffle cone ice cream is sold anymore - we'll skip its low quality replacement next time - we expected to see more colourful annuals at the end of May - the garden closes already at 6pm this season. Why not stay open until 8pm or even 9pm - like last year - with the sun still up and temperatures cooling off a bit? - the Imrie Wetland Walk is STILL closed - after ~2 years - and worst of all - the herb garden was replaced by what seems to be a dozen small plastic spaceships (really?) So, I can only guess, but it looks like the garden is under new management whose goals seem to be more on the commercial rather than the botanic side. Oh well. I hope things won't deteriorate further. With all that, $20 adult admission seems overpriced.

Super fun place to check out on a nice sunny weekend! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Critiques would be, needs better signage and $10-15 seems a bit more fair for admission (adult admission is $20 each). But overall a very calm and beautiful place to check out and walk around for a few hours. The Japanese Garden they have was my favourite.

The Northern Lights Dining Experience, beautiful atmosphere in the middle of winter at the gardens. You get your own globe which is heated and has blankets and pillows and proper table to sit and eat. The food is 3 courses appetizers, mains and desserts. All three courses are fondue style. Options for allergies, vegan, pork free, gluten free are available. Alcohol pay per drink. Unlimited coffee hot chocolate tea with your meal. Children are permitted as well. You can fit 6 adults into a globe. You can also go around the Aga Khan portion. Open fire with seating also available. Plenty of free parking. Starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm. Wait staff are amazing. Some tips: dress warmly because inside the globe is only about 10 degrees warmer than outside. And another tip is season pass holders get a discount. Next tip book early spots full up. Amazing place for a date, meet friends or enjoy with family. I believe it is wheelchair accessible too. Great job U of A!!
