★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The flavours are great but its quite clear that the cheapest quality of meats are being used. I ordered a spicy lamb dish and as soon as I opened the container, all I could see are grisly pieces of meat. I threw it out. What a shame. Also a beef stew dish I ordered had a strange texture to it so that its was more slimy than it was chunks of beef and was so greasy... it was uneditable. This is from poor quality meat. Another dish thrown out. Its a shame because the flavours were diverse and my fish soup was wonderful but I would not order from here again.
Also, the majority of the items on their online menu are only written in chinese with no photos so you can’t order online. I guess they dont want non-chinese ordering from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited Yun Zhu Nan twice with my friends. It was my first restaurant experience. And it was a Good experience.
According to my friend who visits the place all the time, the food is authentic. And I can vouch for that after my second experience with the restaurant.
Almost Gives you a feel of Chinese culture.
A bit on the conservative and proper side, but the food was awesome!
Had the potato chicken and a beef dish the second time, and, mouthwatering chicken, the same potato and chicken dish, lotus root dish and taro dessert the first time.
Quiet talks, it feels like you can’t express yourself with confidence much, can’t say cozy, makes you fee a bit edgy, but it is worth an experience!
I’d suggest you give them a try. Everybody has different tastes, right?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Complex and bold flavours, especially the spicy foods; good salt levels. Regionally-sorted Chinese menu, piping hot food. Very friendly service. Favourites so far: twice-cooked pork, Yunnan style cold noodle, mapo tofu, rose pie. The chili oil is unmatched. An Edmonton gem, I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

We've taken so many people here to introduce cuisine from a region of China that is so different from most Chinese food restaraunts in the city and everyone has been blown away... preparations like you've never seen before. Never had a dish we didn't like or was just soso. Great chefs, friendly dining room staff and fair prices keep us coming back year after year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delivery order. The BBQ pork feet （青岩烤猪蹄）is tender but not greasy. It's good flavor with a bit spicy. Fish fillet soup with pickled cabbage and chilli（ 酸菜鱼） is good. The fish fillet is tender. I would prefer a bit more sour. Portion is good. Price is decent.

The pork can be braised pork could be cooked a little longer so it’s softer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been here a few times and really like the food here. Service is always good and the food is quite authentic and spicy. We love the kung Pao chicken the fish soup and the twice cooked pork. Overall a great place for authentic Chinese food.
