β β β β β So I ordered from this place through Uber Eats. First of all, I requested utensils, there wasn't any. No napkins, either. Like you'd think that would be standard right? Anyways, I ordered the soya chicken and black been noodles with beef and they are both so bland. I should've just gone to the Chinese place at the food court close to me! So disappointed!

β β β β β Ordered their Hoi Nam Chicken rice. Just a lazy way of cooking the so-called chicken and chicken rice. Chicken was just boiled - no marinate, no seasoning, simply bland. The rice was far from what Hainanese chicken rice should taste like. Very disappointed

β β β β β Hidden away in a non descript motel. Great and varied menu has 'tons' of items to tempt you. Track them down and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

β β β β β Very disappointed in there squid, when you pay 14 dollars and get 5 small pieces of squid on mostly what appears to be battered carrots. Will not be visiting this place again

β β β β β Very traditional Hong Kong style food, chief is old school, likes to use high temperature flame (the traditional right way) to cook the food. I haven't tried such traditional flavor for very long time in Edmonton. Price is surprisingly good compare to their very large dish portion. I really like the pineapple sweet and sour pork (unlike other restaurants, here u got almost no pineapple but lots of meat). Very crispy on the outside but soft meat inside.

β β β β β I went to Sam Wok back in the day and it eventually became my comfort food. The staff were always so friendly and great to enjoy the food. I've since moved away but in a return trip, I visited Sam Wok again 8 years later and the food / service is still grade A. Highly recommend visiting this gem and trying for yourself.
