★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by far our favourite place to bring the RV. Last October our campsite was right next to the river. We sat around the campfire watching the river otters swimming by and as it got darker there were many "squadrons" of Canada Geese flying so low overhead you could hear the beat of their wings. Soon, after it got dark, we were treated to a big full moon rising in the east as it reflected off the water. It doesn't get better than this. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice campground, great location for exploring this part of the island. Sites were level, not a lot of trees. Facilities well maintained. No complaints, will stay again. Hosts were very friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good family site. Especially the sites away from the river if you have little ones. Big plots, with plenty of room. I'm not a sun seeker, so the sites at the property edge with some trees provided the necessary shade. There are lots of open space sites too, so bring a shelter if sun is not your thing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good campground. Prices are fair, multiple services. The showers are 1$ for 5 minutes. The wifi sucks so don’t count on that. The gate closes at 10 pm and opens at 7 am. Very little privacy. We enjoyed are stay overall though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great 3 night stay here. Nice sites, some with more privacy than others but it has a good community feel with a playground, basketball court and open grassy area for lawn games. Lots of kids and families. It's nothing fancy but it had everything we needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love it here. This is a great place with lots of amenities. The seals in the river were so cool! We spent the daytime at Sooke Potholes, hiking and geocaching. A fantastic location.
Owners: I understand why you were confused by my first review, I thought it was the campground at the provincial park that my phone had prompted me for a review as we were at the park at that moment. THAT campground has the water off. Sorry about that! Still 5 stars!
