Nice, comfortable suite in Aurora Lodge, but dark and needs better lighting, especially in the bathrooms. Also needs a bit of an uplift (carpets, furniture). Staff could be way friendlier. Other nice places around there to book instead with more welcoming atmosphere.

The room was wonderful and the atmosphere is great! We actually ended up getting our room upgraded, which was great. The pool, however, was not great. The hot tub looked dirty and a little gross. The jets weren’t working, which wasn’t a big deal. The pool itself was very small, so not a lot of room to do really anything. I suggest the pool have some no kids hours, it was very hard to relax with children screaming loudly and splashing. I understand kids need to move, but it was very annoying. And we were down there fairly late as well. Other than that, a great stay! 10/10 recommend.

The place looks great on the outside! That’s where it ends. We booked our room with 2 beds and a pull out couch as we needed 3 beds for 3 grown men. Our pull out couch looked 20 years old with literal knife holes in it. Upon removing the cushion to use it, it had a sign that said do not use bed, ask us if you have questions. I asked the front desk and they said sorry and they would provide a cot. They did not provide a cot. The next night they finally did but the room was so small we couldn’t even use it. We were promised a refund of some amount and also did not receive it. The pool is in a concrete area with no views. The rooms had no views except of other condos. It was dark as could be in the room. All the dishes were in the dishwasher and wet for us to put away I guess? The checkin was at 5 and checkout at 10am, you’d think in 7 hours we could have dishes dried and put away. The place was busy as can be and SO noisy every morning with kids running down the halls. I would never stay here again. I wish I could attach photos.

Overall it is a great hotel and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Be aware that the rooms are not designed for toddlers so there are a lot of safety hazards to keep in mind like slippery floors and sharp corners. It makes it hard to let the little ones play as you unpack so one parent has to supervise. One problem we had during our stay was we couldn't change the thermostat and since we were there for a short visit, we didn't think ask for maintenance to change it for us - it was uncomfortably warm in our room but it's good to know they are available if you need help with this. Other issues to be aware of - you have to go through the parking lot to get to the swimming pool which can be awkward for people and the rooms can be very noisy, so we were happy we brought a white noise machine for our little one. Key things are missing from the kitchenette like a spatula and compost bin. Overall, staff are friendly and this is a good hotel to choose. Oh yes - we booked a room with a view and the windows were small so it wasn't really what we hoped for but better than not seeing the mountains at all!

My partner and I stayed at the Solara last Saturday and received service that was not acceptable, check in was at 5 pm and did not get in the room from ongoing issues of housekeeping and front desk until 6 pm. Front desk did not care whatsoever about us being late for dinner reservations. The floors were soaked when we came in the room, we addressed everything to management and still are getting a runaround showing no care.

We were upgraded we think to an amazing suite. We were working on our laptops and we had lots of room and could look out on the mountains. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to eat in.

I wanted to set up a weekend stay for my sister and her husband, who had flown in from Ontario. Solara and their staff made this an unforgettable experience for them. Their unit was spacious with great views and the pool/hot tub was "the perfect way to end our day" The staff went above and beyond by placing some items in the room before my sister's check in (and ensuring it looked nice). Overall thrilled with the experience and will definitely book again.

Our stay was during a difficult time of covid and extreme weather conditions. It was a comfort to know we could curl up in the warmth of our condo after a fun but freezing day out. We could come and go with ease and parking underground a definite bonus. Thanks to guest services for their friendly and professional attentiveness. I'd be back in a heart beat.
