Where We Started
Since the doors opened in the early 60’s, the focus has always been to provide quality products that produce happy, satisfied customers. We’ve grown over the years to be the largest Recreational Dealer in Northwestern Ontario, but our philosophies have never changed.
Where We Are Now
Now centrally located at 940 Cobalt Crescent in Thunder Bay, Smith’s RV Centre employs over 30 friendly staff members. Our combined large indoor showroom, 4000 square feet of parts and accessories, and a 10,000 square foot shop with factory-trained certified technicians will make sure you get the service you deserve. Our main facility has a fully paved yard showcasing hundreds of products to meet all your needs.
What We Do
Our year-round family owned dealership works hard to earn your business as well as to actively participate and support local charities and fund-raising groups. Over the course of the past year, Smith’s RV Centre has actively participated in supporting and fundraising for the following charities:

- MADD Canada

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent customer service at every visit. Bought a used trailer this year and they were always willing to answer any newbie questions I had. They had a great 90 day warranty on the used trailer we bought and they fixed a couple of minor issues quickly at no cost. Would have given 5 stars if the communication was better between staff members when it comes to some things. I would call and talk to 3 people and get 3 different answers. Other than that, they are a great place to go, especially for first time trailer buyers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in Thunder Bay camping with our trailer (from Toronto) and we had an issue with a loose fitting in our Reese weight distribution hitch. Brad took a look and said " leave it with me overnight. " They called us the next day. He had fixed it, added a couple of spot welds and repainted it for us. Better than new! No charge too. You are lucky to have a shop like this in town. Thanks Brad!

I had a water leak on my Grand Design camper, and a gentleman by the name of Rob actually greeted me as I pulled in. Probably as much good luck as anything. But he showed me a spot to park, and in about 3 minutes he had me sorted out. Absolutely a perfect gentleman and helped me right away. I went inside and bought some small stuff I needed. Well priced too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently traded our travel trailer in on a fifth wheel at Smiths RV. We were very happy with the service we received from all the different people dealt with. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We traveled a long distance to get the fifth wheel we wanted and the staff made everything work for us to have a successful trip and transaction. I would definitely do business with them again.
