About Smile Dental Care
Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the Alberta Dental Association and College (ADA & C), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)and Alberta Health Region Infection Prevention & Control.
Instruments are washed, dried and disinfected by a dental instrument washer and disinfector (Hydrim 61W). then sterilized in Bravo Chamber Autoclave. Bowie -Dick test is conducted every morning before the first load to ensure the sterilizer is in good working condition. Biological test (spore test) is done daily to ensure 100% sterilization.
Handpieces that can’t be soaked or washed are wiped with a hospital grade surface disinfectant and are sterilized in Bravo autoclave.
Hard surfaces like countertops and hoses are wiped with a hospital grade surface disinfectant twice so that the debris is removed first, guaranteeing total disinfection.

I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Dong, the very friendly, efficient, and helpful office administrator, and Dr. Bhardwaj and his clinical assistant, who were patient with my nerves, extremely gentle during the procedure, and allowed for the extra time it took to completely freeze my mouth. I will be coming here for all my treatments in the years to come. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best dentist I've ever been to. I started going to them because they are on my student care network, and have been a loyal client ever since. They have a neat and clean clinic with the best service I ever received from a dentist. I've received several impeccable fillings and cleanings here and they do thorough checkups and make excellent recommendations. This Friday evening, a big part of one of my molars broke off and they were able to help me after hours on Saturday afternoon. Dr Bhardwaj did such a great job and is such a kind hearted and knowledgeable person. His assistant, Jenny, makes you feel at ease and is also very kind. She works with care and efficiency. Yan, the receptionist, always does her best to help with any kind of insurance queries to keep the fees as low as possible, and is incredibly friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this clinic and will stay with them as long as I am in Calgary.

The dental team are very efficient and take their time to explain what they will be doing to your teeth and why. I always receive the best care and during this time of uncertainty, I know that the office and staff are taking every measure to make sure I am visiting a very sanitary and safe environment.
