We just came back from a 3 night stay over the Victoria Day weekend at Skyview. Still quite chilly especially when the sun isn't around. The website says $5 per day for WiFi which we wanted. We were asked how many devices we had and they charged us $10/day because we had 2 devices, this seems like a ripoff. This is ridiculous as it should be per SITE. The same wifi password is given to everyone so if you are going with others just pay $5 and share the password. Cell service is spotty to nonexistent. The wind blows through as they took down all the trees to build the campsite, so watch your awnings and popups. Lots of dead looking trees that they left standing and lots of dead wood/debris laying around near campsites. They could have done a better job of cleaning up. They also could have planted some trees or vegetation to replace what they removed. You are literally camping in a gravel parking lot. I can see this being very HOT in the summer months as there is nowhere to hide from the sun. The bugs will also be an issue come summer. There is a nice children's playground but beware if you are in the pull through sites across from the playground that you will had adults and kids cutting through your site all the time as they didn't design it with any walkways to connect the further sites to the playground or washrooms. Going around is very long for little feet. Again there is no shade so I can see the plastic playground equipment getting hot to the touch. We never used the camp showers/bathrooms but I heard they were nice. You are very near hiking trails and lightening lake but not near any stores so bring what you need. There is a store at the lodge but it is VERY expensive. Hope this helps if you are heading to this new campsite.

Newly opened RV camp site. We went there for the family day long weekend. The site had about 2ft of snow when we got there. There is a small office at the entrance but no gate. They sell fire log in the office. The park operator drives around the site like every 1/2hr or so. The operators are super friendly and helpful. There is an indoor public washroom/shower room near site 23 and 24. Free to use, very clean and heated. Kids playground is next to the washroom. Also there are garbage bins near the playground too. Beautiful mountain view.

Brand new 90+ Full Service sites. Large back in and pull through sites. Level sites. 15/30/50amp service. Water. Sewer. Paved road in campground. Indoor toilets and showers. Outdoor toilets. Wash sinks. Friendly staff. Lots of hiking/walking trails. Close to the lake. The only downside I think is the lack of trees for privacy and shade bc the sites needed to be made. Good spacing between sites though. WiFi available. Bring an extender. We would prefer a non-service site for the trees/privacy.

I almost don't want to post about how great this place is for fear of never being able to get a reservation again! Every site is set up with a nice post with all the electrical you could want, include a standard household 15 amp plug, 30amp plug AND 50 amp plug. Make sure the green light is ON on the post before you get set up though, there are a few sites where the power was not working and we unfortunately got 1 of them and had to move 1 site over after unhooking and finding this out! There is also a heated fresh water hydrant and an access panel in the ground for hooking up your sewage/grey water directly. The heated shower/bathroom building is so nice, especially during winter camping! The playground is huge and modern. I love that you can easily drive 10 minutes up the road to Manning ski area, or walk down the road to lightning lake or 20 minute lake and explore. A couple minor issues I had were that: 1) there is currently a boil water advisory, which would be nice to know before heading up when planning how much drinking water to bring. 2) in the winter, if you have a long tow vehicle and/or long trailer, the high snow banks on the sides of the road can make it difficult to back your trailer into some of the back in sites, so if in doubt, choose a pull through site. For reference, my trailer is 19' (22' from hitch to bumper) and I have a LONG truck (crew cab Long box 3500 Silverado) and I was JUST able to back in after a bit of finessing.

Even though I loved the RV parking at the Manning ski resort, which was right next to the ski hills, the Skyview Campground was a great upgrade for the whole resort. It has full hook up for RV, which Manning needs for both summer and winter and has access to many activities all year around. It is a great campground for all types of RVs.
