About Sherwood Park Optometry
Dr. Dionne Jones was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. There, she attended the University of Saskatchewan and earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physiology. Dr. Jones later completed her Doctorate of Optometry with Honors at the University of Waterloo. The program included clinical rotations in primary care, specialty contact lens fitting, low vision, and pediatrics. Her ocular disease externship included working alongside several ophthalmologists in Alabama, where her training focused on ocular conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology. It was in optometry school where she met her significant other Dr. Bryan Ens and upon graduation, Dr. Jones made the move to Edmonton to live and practice. Sherwood Park Optometry was her first job – and Dr. Jones plans to be there long term, as she is the proud new owner of the clinic. She instantly fell for the community, and couldn’t be happier to continue growing the practice and providing excellent, comprehensive eye care. Dr. Jones is a member of both the Alberta Association and Canadian Association of Optometry. Eye doctoring aside – Dr. Jones loves to spend time with her family at the lake, playing golf, snowboarding, and travelling.

He recommended my laser eye surgery and has taken a personal approach at monitoring my eyes after the procedure and providing excellent advise whenever I have any questions or concerns. I would recommend Dr. Ens to anyone. The business was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended Sherwood Park Optometry in Sherwood Park Mall on May 31, 2022. I had my eyes tested within 10 minutes of walking in, and saw Dr. Enns within 2 minutes from then. The Doctor was very professional and gave me valuable tips for eye care and preventative maintenance that I had never been given before, despite seeing optometrists since I was 2 years old. He was very thorough and reviewed and went through all of my scans in depth as well, and he asked important questions about my family history and lifestyle to form a long term eye care plan for me. Despite this attention to detail, I was in and out and on my way to getting a new pair of glasses in half an hour. I would recommend this clinic to anyone as they are very efficient while also being very attentive and taking the time to explain things to the patient. I would recommend this eye clinic to anyone and will be re-attending at this clinic in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've seen Dr Dion for a number of years and she is so thorough and honest with her assessment. I appreciate her recommendations and always feel well taken care of. She's seen me for normal check ups and emergencies when I've had small trauma to the eye. She also welcomes quick walk ins to the reception desk when I needed advice on eye drops while on accutane.
My kids have seen Dr Brian every year since they were a year old. He is amazing with both adult and pediatric care. He is patient and understanding of pediatric milestones and development thus knowing what to expect during an exam from the child. Our kids enjoy going to see him and I feel comfort knowing again how thorough the drs at this clinic are.

Dr. Jones is also very pleasant and professional. Making sure I get the best care and helping me understand good eye health was her priority. I'll be back for sure.

The lady who did the pre exam was very patient and didn't get upset that I kept moving my eye. The doctor took the time to explain everything to me in a way I could understand it all. He asked for a follow up visit in 2 months which I took as really wanting to make sure I got the best care available
