β β β β β Excellent dining experience at Shelter. First thing you should know, they reserve 20% of the tables for reservations, the rest of the tables are for walk in (at least that's what we were told by the server). So if you can reserve a table, it's worth walking in. We sat in the enclosed patio in mid-October and it was perfect. Great ambience and warm. For apps, we had the roasted olives and mussels. both great starters which came with some nice crispy bread for dipping! For the mains we had the chowder and a salmon/wild mushroom risotto. Both were delicious. If you are in town, it is certainly worth coming through

β β β β β The atmosphere was nice and the service was ok. The burger was ok (not the best). The price is very expensive for a burger because it does not include a side dish like fries or a salad. Need to add little bit more than 6 dollars for side dish.

β β β β β Well executed comfort food! After a rainy day this place was consistently good with their hot soups and they had quite a few healthy salads and seafood. Would go back.

β β β β β We made reservations in advance and were seated by the window with a nice view at dinner time. The menu had a lot of great sounding options. We ended up going with the SΓΌze Crispy Calamari as an appetizer which was delicious and something I highly recommend. For mains, we ordered the Lingcod Fish & Chips and the Tofino Surf Bowl with wild salmon, both of which were good. The portion sizes were very generous.

β β β β β It was a cold when we went but they have a lot of outdoor heaters so we were able to enjoy the fresh air and not have to be inside. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The price is fair and the quality of the food is good. It's just a little out of the main street but it's worth stopping if you want a nice lunch. The restaurant is quite big. The interior is large and a very nice decent sized terrace as well. There was about a 30 minute wait when we went but I have the feeling it's normal.

β β β β β Absolutely incredible meal! We ordered the Izakaya Salad, tuna tataki, shrimp & mussel fettuccine, and the seared wild sockeye salmon. The portions were huge and the flavours were just perfectβ¦ loved the ambiance and the patio area is stunning with the view. They had the heaters going and it was so toasty. Could not have asked for a better meal!

β β β β β Loved the food here! The fish tacos were amazing. Loved the pork rind. The tuna tataki were also very flavorful. The fish and chips was a slight let down, the fish seemed a little on the mushy side. The fries were pretty standard as was the slaw.
We sat in the booth, so there was quite a bit of distance between everyone.
