Took my Open Water and my Advanced Open Water with Sharky's bought some equipment there... Great all around service! Will be going back for more courses! Mike, the owner, is great never had any issues with any of the staff, had problems with a tank I purchased there and once the issue was identified Mike took care of it right away. I had to pick up my equipment an extra day before the open water dive an there was no issue. Don't know what some of these people are talking about! Also Sharky's (Syd and Ivor) organize a great Wednesday dive group, fun for all.

Mike and the gang at Sharky's Scuba were fantastic. I bought a dive compressor and Mike took the time to take me over to pick it up make sure I was given all the info on it and knew everything to know about the compressor. They were a great help in facts on drysuit gear, regs and everything I needed to kit myself for northern diving. The expertise that is there is amazing, I could have spent another day just talking diving if I had been able to. Great follow up support available and looking forward to dealing with the guys again. These guys run a tight, safe shop with attention to detail.

This shop has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. They lost my registration (twice, for two separate courses), the staff is not helpful (would not help with carrying 9 tanks up to my car), charged me for things they told me they wouldn't after I called, and didn't call for class dates. I had to contact the instructor on my own to set things up. I would not recommend going here. Although the instructors and dive masters are amazing, the in store staff and the organization of the courses is horrible. I'd go to any other dive shop over this one.

I rented some equipment from Sharky's last (Friday) night with the plan to dive with a friend of mine today. I got the weekend rate by waiting until after 5PM to rent and I'd get the equipment until Sunday 12PM. Unfortunately my buddy cancelled on me this morning and I returned the equipment dry, unused, still packed as it was when I got it at 11AM this morning. When I asked for a refund or even a credit on my rental fee, I was quickly denied. Fair enough, that's not part of the agreement but it's just poor customer service. I should have rented from Diver's Wearhouse - they're much more understanding but unfortunately closed too early for me to rent on Friday.

Just came from the store. Stood there for over 10 min but the sales guy didn't bother to even look at me... what a low quality service! I left as I will not give my money to somebody who treats me like that. Wow! So you even lie!?! I've been there with my husband. We were looking for snorkeling gear. We were hoping for some help but you were talking with another guy ignoring us completely. Now you are saying that we are invisible on your video too? That brings you to a new level of low. Just ridiculous! Anyway, we are happy you treated us as invisible so we left without buying anything. We found way better stuff at a fraction of your super-inflated prices. Shame on you for the bad customer service and then lying about it.

Overall not impressed with their customer service over the phone when gathering information on a potential dive trip for a friend. Also much more expensive than other Ottawa dive shops. Won't bother with this shop again.

Very disappointed with the staff. I called ahead of time to make sure they were able to fill a hpa tank which they said they do. After driving 40 minutes I get to the shop, and the lady at the desk tells me they dont fill those as you guys don't have the adapter. I then told her that the person on the phone told me you guys do. And she quickly changed her answer to "my coworker who knows how to do that just left" ...Filling a tank should be the first thing you learn to do at a scuba shop. Please teach your employees how to do their job.

Terrible experience here I am not a pro just getting into diving and went by to pick up a mask / snorkel and fins. A few staff there who didn’t even make eye contact for twenty minutes. The thin guy with glasses was helping a couple get fitted for full gear and completely ignored me while I was waiting with my selection in hand at the counter. Other bigger guy just on the phone the whole time. Some of the regulars actually helped me pick some stuff out they were really nice. Hard spot to find (inside home hardware) and some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. While the couple being fitted were changing several times trying out wet suits how about you bill out the guy waiting patiently at the cash with his small purchase ready to go!!! Ended up leaving with nothing what a waste of my time!!! Btw since I see a response to another similar review and the owner said he checked the video…this was on Friday August 13th sometime between 11AM and 1:30PM can’t remember exactly.
