★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upon entering the shop I was greeted kindly and ushered to Khadija's hair cutting station by the window. The shop is spacious with a bubbly level of activity and positive atmosphere. The stations each have unique antique dressers with big mirrors. I loved the comfort of home kinda vibe. Khadija came and greeted me warmly and we had a conversation about my long hair and how it could be styled. It was a pleasure to be heard and to know that they had a vision for my new look. I never felt rushed and the experience was most enjoyable. I received advice and recommendations for hair product without feeling pressured to buy. I left feeling relaxed, happy and super good about the value for money. I certainly would recommend Khadija Jali at the Shampoo Hair Bar. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is great for sure. Everyone is friendly and polite. Not going to lie, I was not crazy about my blonde hair when I left the salon. I also don't think my hair looks like I got a Balayage done. The color I chose looked darker until it was on my head. Once it was done, it looked super light and not what I was expecting at all. That being said, a few days have passed and I'm kinda obsessed with the color. Not sure it suits me completely as I have brown skin, but the color is gorgeous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mike did a fabulous job of a new pixie cut that also saw the last of my coloured hair disappear. An affable and engaging guy, he meticulously snipped and trimmed, all the while working with the cowlicks and slightly sparse areas of hair. Highly recommend his services!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Carmen! You are a lifesaver. I got what was supposed to be a balayage done in Langford a few weeks ago and ended up with a head of highlights. Was super bummed and hunted for someone who knows balayage well to fix my hair. Carmen was super sweet, friendly, and did such an amazing job - she outdid my expectations and my hair feels great! I appreciated her walking me through my options and making suggestions on different ways to achieve what I was looking for, and ultimately for taking the time to make sure she understood what I wanted. Will definitely be a regular in her chair from now on ? Before and after photos included!

He is amazing - knowledgeable and thorough and we now have the type of rapport where he instinctively knows what’s best for my hair almost before I can articulate it! He’s so sweet and friendly and we spend as much time visiting as we do updating my hair. I just love him and will continue to be his client for as long as he’ll have me!
