When arrive there's 2 lines that form 1 for Passports travelling in 4 weeks or less and one for more 4 plus weeks before travel and all other services. The 4 week line doesn't move, it takes 20 minutes per application because it's processed on site instead of being mailed to head office to be processed. Waited outside for 6 hours in 4° drizzly icepellets, only to have to Abandon All Hope at getting in that day. Because after 6 hours of watching how slow the line was progressing that it would be two more hours at least before I would get in the door beforw they locked the door at 4. There were only 8 people ahead of me at that point. Perhaps if they 5 clerks instead of 3, they would only need 3 guards instead of 5.

Went to renew my passport for me and my two children. Lined up at 7:30am one hour before service Canada opens. Line went okay at first but then they start letting anyone who have a travel date to the front of the line… like what the hell is the point of lining up and showing up early. It’s now 10:30 am and I’m still waiting in line. Worst service ever… should be first come first serve.

Wasted about 5 hours in line and was not able to renew my passport. There is no information available to anybody waiting in line, luckily some of the folks waiting were able to offer some insight. By the sluggish way at which the window operators work, it becomes very apparent that they are on hourly wages and are not concerned about who’s waiting in line, or why, regardless of the fact that they’re being funded by actual tax payer money. They’re currently short staffed, yes. But you can actually just look through the window and see that the ones who remain are probably running at a generous 50% of actual capabilities, considering the time in between servicing people. There’s about 3 (yes, three) security guards on site that sometimes break away from their group conversation to come out every couple of hours, but mostly to discourage people from waiting and offer little to no information on what kind of system is being used to actually service people or even if you have a chance of getting in. Or what the best time to come wait is. Or what the situation inside is like. Or what the operators moods are like that day. Which is odd considering they do this every day and should have a general idea of roughly how many people they will allow to enter at a certain time. They are privately hired security guards who kind of run it like a nightclub. Lots of rules and very little information or service. From the questions I asked, it seems that everything will depend on the window tellers’ mood that day. Sometimes they feel like working, and you’ll get your passport, sometimes they don’t. Tolerable when ordering a burrito, probably not the best when attempting to acquire a legal document. In short, nobody here, at any moment during the day, has any idea what is happening. So if you go here, pray to the passport Gods and you might get lucky. But if you actually need your passport, maybe fly to another province.

Only giving 1 star because i can not give 0... the worst place.. Security comes every half hour and let's you know that you can wait the entire business day in the summer sun but would not even be able to even get through the doors. This was after a 3.5 hour wait.... this is supposed to be "SERVICE CANADA" WHAT A JOKE.

Arrived to this location at 9:15, got inside 2.5 hrs later at 11:50. Waited over 2 hrs for my turn. Also, noticed that from 12-13, only 1 worker was managing her cubicle. All other service workers were away from their desks. Make sure to bring some food and headphones with you and get comfortable for a long wait. Once you are inside, you can only step outside for a couple minutes.

We had a positive experience getting 4 passports processed at Service Canada, with a travel date a few weeks away. Our agent was helpful and guided us in the process. She assured us we had plenty of time and since passports are done in house, we could make the necessary corrections, bring them back to her and we could still have them processed in time with no extra charge for rush. We are very happy with our experience and thankful for the kind employee who served us.

We came to ask for help today, my husband passport we applied through mail didn’t come as expected. I just want to thanks the lady that work today in the morning, at counter 3, she is apologetic for the delay of my husband’s passport. We waited long outside but it’s worth the wait because the lady did her best to help us today. Thank you lady at the counter number 3.Keep up the good work.
