I got the one love coloured hair package and was not disappointed! Contrary to bad reviews, I had little problems booking my appointment and Selfology was quick to get back and confirm with me. I highly recommend Kawal! she gave me exactly what I wanted and I have never been so satisfied with my hair. ALSO, Great Price, friendly staff and location!

Big thank you first of all to Yumi and Isabelle who did a wonderful job and were so polite and professional. Seeing all the negative reviews on this business, I was very hesitant to give them a shot when I saw a deal on Groupon but I AM SO GLAD I DID. My boyfriend and I got the couples hot stone massage with 2 add ons and we both loved it. We were both surprised by the number of negative reviews so here are some details on our positive experience. Booking Process: I did not have any real issues making my booking (and I anticipated difficulties given all the negative reviews). The booking process can probably be more streamlined and automated but I didn’t have any problems. First I had to submit an online request to book an appointment through their website, then wait for correspondence. It didn’t take very long for them to text me (it was within 24 hours), and I was given options for the next availability. I had purchased my Groupon months prior and it was going to expire before the next available spot, but they were very accommodating and accepted my Groupon even after the expiration date. This is very much appreciated and contributed to my positive first time experience with them, contrary to a lot of the negative reviews I read. A suggestion I would make to the business would be to switch to any of the turnkey technological solutions available nowadays to automate and minimize booking friction and even reduce the staff overhead needed to manage bookings. Communication: After I made my appointment, I later received another text message the same day to inform me that there was a last minute cancellation and an earlier booking had opened up. I was unable to take it but I appreciated the text nonetheless. Then, 48 hours prior to my appointment I got a text prompting me to confirm my appointment. Finally, the day before my appointment I received another text with a COVID screening questionnaire. I think the level of communication was perfect. Service: We got the couples hot stone massage, mini facial and body wrap add ons. Both of our aestheticians were very attentive to our needs and thorough in explaining the services. They offered water and tea and made sure to check throughout the service that the hot stone temperatures were good and that we were comfortable. Following our service, we were advised that while the deal may still be on Groupon, it’s only valid for first time customers, and we were presented with other options for repeat customers which I found to be fair. At checkout, we were informed that we would need to pay the $9 tax on the Groupon and this is literally no different than other Groupon deals I’ve used so it was not at an issue. While every experience is different and reviews are a good way to gauge a business, I really hope that anyone who has taken the time to read this long review will decide to give this business a chance. I’m so glad that I didn’t experience any of the troubles reported by other people and hope that anyone else who comes across that deal on Groupon will consider going to Selfology and have just aS positive an experience as we did. We will be coming back!

I had purchased a voucher for a massage and somehow managed to book an appointment last month (heads up, their website is terribly designed and not user-friendly at all, even after the "redesign"). Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my appointment as I was affected by BC flooding, but was able to notify Selfology several days before my appointment. The only time Selfology seemed to be communicative was during that time, and I was told that I would be contacted with an amended appointment time. It's been over two weeks since that last exchange, and at this point I've now emailed, texted, and left phone messages with the spa about getting a rescheduled appointment. Radio silence. It also seems that my voucher has been redeemed, but I haven't been able to use it, which makes this whole process even more frustrating. I was really looking forward to supporting a local business, despite the middling reviews, but after this whole experience I understand why this establishment has the rating it does. I'd love to be proven wrong, but as it stands I don't have anything to change this review.

Tried Multiple times (unsuccessfully) over the span of a month to book a massage. They only responded once, and that was to deny my booking request. Website is a mess, and you can't call to talk to a human and book an appointment. Getting a refund and giving another business my money.

DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON VOUCHER- This place has the worst booking system I’ve ever seen. We got our vouchers from Groupon and we went online to book the following the weekend. The website gives you every single slot to choose from. We chose Saturday at 12pm. After two days I received an email saying please confirm your appointment on Monday! You call and email them all you want but no one will answer. So we decided to actually go to the spa ( I have never in my life had to do this too book an appointment like ever!!). The spa’s name is something else, I am not sure if they are in middle of rebranding or what but selfology doesn’t exist. Based on the address, we found the spa and we went in and a lady came up to talk to us and I explained to her what has happened and her response was “ we cannot book you on weekends because we are full until June” and she kept trying to push for Tuesday! It was most horrible experience I’ve very had dealing with a business. We requested refund from Groupon and we were refunded $38 short for some reasons. How do you run your business!!??

Not sure why the low reviews. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the couples massage with two add-ons. It was a great way to end a busy work week. Recommend. Glad I got the Groupon!

I do not understand the low/bad reviews.... Booked a couples massage via Groupon. No issues with booking appointments, staff very friendly and helpful. Arrived with end of work week tension and left very relaxed and happy. Will be returning!!

I did a couple’s massage and facial at Selfology a month ago and it was amazing. Very relaxing, they customize it for your liking/skin type, very professional and friendly. I went back for a facial today and I left feeling relaxed, refreshed and with beautiful skin. I noticed a positive change in my skin after my first facial and today I left with my skin being extremely soft and my pores are smaller. She gave me advice and suggestions based on my skin type which was very helpful. Their original location is (under construction, I believe?) and they are renting space in a beauty/nail salon. It was very clean and comfortable. The bad reviews seem to be based on their booking service. At first it seemed a little hard to reach them but now that I book my next session in person once I’m there I have had no issues. We had to reschedule our original couples massage and they responded to our email right away and were very courteous and understanding. We were able to reschedule without an issue. I would definitely recommend going here based on my experience.
