M	Matthew Manzano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a place to spend a couple of hours to be productive and get some work done outside of the home, this place is not for you. I had high hopes for this place as it's right in my neighbourhood. I came in one morning and found that the cafe was empty. I ordered an Americano and helped myself to a free table. Only after another customer had come in and also set up his work area were we both informed that we would not be able to stay for more than an hour or hour and a half max. This was pretty disappointing as I had chosen this place to work from in the morning based on the fact that there was no posted policy against it. I also was not told about any sort of time limit until after I had paid for my order and gotten myself situated. I would have likely chosen another location to work from had I known in advance. The barista/owner(?) has great connections with his regulars and if you're a regular, I'm sure this is a great spot to get your cup of coffee. But I left that day feeling unwelcome and like an outsider. Won't be returning to this location in the near future.

One of of the charms of this coffee shop is that it is a place where people can actually connect with each other. In person. The old fashioned way. People also come in to go online and there is nothing wrong with that. However, this is not an office, it is a coffee shop. And, as John the owner mentioned when I saw him today, there is limited seating. It is unfortunate that some people seem to forget that there are other patrons besides themselves, and that when they are monopolizing space for well over two hours, they are preventing others from enjoying the place. My advice to the most recent poster is that you would please try harder to consider others, that you are one of many customers, and at the end of the day, John the owner still has to pay the rent every month. All for now.

M	Maria Mainart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a little frustrated when I was told that they don’t sell drip coffee but then I tried the latte and it was mind blowing. By far the best latte I’ve had in this city, and I’ve had way too many. Hands down the best here!
R	Royy H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a great cup of Bean of the world standard Americano, don't go here.( No brew coffee offered here too) I am a loyal/regular batw coffee drinker, Americano in this store is just watered down, taste worse than a $1Macdonal coffee. It was my first time here, certainly will be the last.
M	Mason and Jessica on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Firstly, this is the best coffee in town (and I have tried a lot of different coffee shops!). Secondly, John makes all the difference because he will remember your order and your small preferences, even after one visit. All his customers seem to be regulars who greet him by name. I highly recommend this coffee shop (now known as Cherry Lane Coffee I believe). Great to sit down or take a coffee to go and walk along the nearby Arbutus Green Way.
A	Adam Yates on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my go-to coffee shop. John, the owner, is great, and I go here as much to chat with him as I do for the coffee, which is great. I’m normally a plain black coffee drinker, but they do have some good fancier coffee drinks if I’m in the mood. The baked goods are tasty and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. There is normally seating out on the sidewalk, as well as inside, though that has been somewhat restricted during the pandemic.
