Obtained the Branch manager voice mail - "press 0 and one of my staff members can assist you", Click, buzz hangs up. no option to press 0. just hangs up. Phone Maze keeps trying to push you to a national call centre. Frustrating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst bank ever! Has been over a month just trying to close a loan, don't know how to setup automatic transfers, cost me thousands, sued me over their own mistakes!
If you read this, walk across the street to any other bank! If you can, don't do business with these people! You will lose everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have had nothing but terrible experiences with Scotiabank. The downtown branch almost ruined my mortgage application and it seems that opening a simple line of credit to transfer to a bank account with another financial institution is a a 2+ month ordeal and requires talking to about 6 different people at this branch. Very unimpressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible service when trying to get a mortgage, assured me everything was in order many times, and every time i had to call them. When it was coming to closing date they hadn’t gotten anything in order. They made me extend the closing date 2 times then was forced to switch banks at that last minute to salvage the deal. Absolutely the worst. The manager that was covering for the real manager admitted that they have many new staff and they dropped the ball. They lied to cover it up. I also had an existing mortgage through Scotiabank through another branch that i will be changing banks once it comes up for renewal.
