Nurses are nic3 and helpful. But receptionist is rude. Automatically she (hijab lady)says the clinic is full and won't hear out return clients. I came in for a renewal and trying to explain it to her but she just told me to wait without hearing me out. Eventually the nurse gets to me and asks the receptionist. And she told the nurse that I might've just grabbed the sheet when I did not. I don't mind waiting but receptionists shouldn't be rude like that especially in health care.

The first time I went to this clinic, I came 15 minutes before opening, but I was told to come back a different day, and to come half an hr early before opening. So I did, but this time I came an hour early just incase. I was told there was no number system, but instead an honour system, first come first serve. Which is stupid because a bunch of people who came after me still got in and I was told it was full. When I expressed this, the lady did not care and she walked away. I wasted so much time here on 2 different occasions, and did not get what I needed. This place needs to scrap the honour system. Anyways, never coming back here, literally such a waste of my time.

I am so glad to have a free, thorough, and knowledgeable sexual health clinic in Scarborough. The nurses are fantastic here; kind, knowledgable and professional. 5/5 for them and for the services provided. The "honour" system is a joke though, and clearly isn't working. There needs to be an immediate way to get a number to secure your spot. Each time i went personally, there are no issues and I (and others) have made damn sure people were given numbers accordingly, but apparently this is not always the case. Yes, you HAVE to come early. Not 15 minutes early, like well over 30 to 45 minutes early. Yes it is inconvenient and people get all snotty about it, but it is what it is. It is a very in demand walk-in service, so plan accordingly. Be prepared to get there early and wait a long time. It's well worth it to see nurses/doctors that specifically specialize in sexual health services. My complaint is with the one receptionist. I am not sure of her name, she wears a hajab and appears to be middle eastern. I've always found her rude but shrugged it off as she has a demanding job. Well on my last visit it escalated from rude to next level offensive and innapropriate. She was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and actually racist. Basically, a young black woman came in for birth control and she (angrily) told her that there were no nurses currently and to come back later, the woman left and did not return. Meanwhile, there was another young black woman who had previously taken a number to be seen by a doctor and was waiting her turn. The receptionist called her number and the woman approached. The receptionist started angrily yelling at the woman saying "I TOLD YOU TO COME BACK LATER THERE IS NO NURSE, YOU DIDN'T LISTEN"!!! Meanwhile, the lady is confused and was VERY calm with the receptionist and said "i have been waiting this entire time". The receptionist continued to berate the woman and claim she was asked to come back later. I guess the receptionist then realized her racist error when she saw the woman's form, suddenly changed her tone and said okay you are next. No apology for the terrible tone she used and things she yelled, NOTHING. It was disgusting. I was appalled. The way this woman treats people is offensive, she needs some serious discpline or re-training.

While the receptionists here are not so pleasant and the drop-in procedure is not effective. There should be both drop ins and appointments that way more people are served.Make sure to get to the clinic an hour before open times because it's a first come first serve basis and you will be turned away after 15 clients or so! The nurses and doctors here are absolutely amazing. Especially the nurses!! They made me feel so at ease and very compationate and understanding. I've been here twice and both nurses I had were so so Amazing!! Thanks Maluka ( I think her name was, middle aged Caucasian lady with short dyed hair and streaks in hair). She was so sweet and can't say enough nice things about the staff here! (Minus receptionists)

Been going here for a while and the nurses are kind and helpful. However this place is way to inconvenient and time consuming for my liking. Drop in fills way to quickly and hours of operation are very short. You have to show up an hour before drop in time starts to even be considered for a spot. After that, they take no more people because it’s full. Even if you show up at the beginning of drop in hours, you won’t be getting a spot. Say drop in goes from 1:30 - 3:30. You must show up at 12 to get a spot and wait hours till you’re called. If you show up at 1:30, no spot for you, it will definitely be full. Way too much time taken out of my day for a short appointment. Looking for a new place to go to now.

I am appreciative that this service even exists. That said, it's a nightmare being there. The waiting room is makeshift. It's just a big open lounge area where everyone sits in awkward silence. The triage is also makeshift, using forms with letters written on them by staff - first come first served!. They are so overwhelmed by visitors here that if you arrive on time (e.g., 9:30am or 2:00pm, you might not get a spot). I arrived at 9:30am only to be told that they were already at capacity at 9:00am. To be sure, the nurse and MD that addressed my case were both fantastic, and took the appropriate time with me to do tests and answer my questions. They were outstanding and compassionate. You're probably visiting because you have a problem or concern. Be warned: the environment that is this clinic will only have you feeling further downtrodden.

You have to arrive at LEAST 30-45 minutes early to secure a spot and even if you do, you STILL have to wait at least another hour before you even get to see a counsellor. If you’re expecting to get what you need in an hour or less, this is probably not the place to go, considering the spots fill up really fast. The highlight of this clinic are counsellors/doctors and the general low/no cost benefits.

Horrible experience over the phone, no respect or professionalism whatsoever. You will not get an appointment and they will waste your time
