recommended a friend to try this shop, although I haven't myself. Assumed they were a Porsche speciality shop. We were wrong. Vehicle went in driving fine, and came out with issues we had to resolve ourselves because of poor workmanship.

High performance mechanics/technicians. Prices are well in line with the service you get and they service more than Porsche vehicles as pictured. I drive a supercharged Tundra and I wouldn’t take it anywhere else.

James and his mechanics really know their stuff! Went in with an annoying problem and went out with a smooth running vehicle. Customer service was top-notch! I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!

Can't say enough good things about James and his crew. I asked to have leads installed on the battery of my BMW so I could keep it charged in storage. SCAN not only did exactly what I asked for, but James comp'd me on it. He even called tech support to make sure everything would work alright. You've made a friend here, James ... and a loyal customer. Thank you!

James and his crew helped me mount & balance new tires on my new Audi during the Winter, and did an excellent job. I am a very meticulous person - I will notice scratches and any vibrations when driving, but they were 100% spot on. A little pricier than other tire mounting shops, but you get what you pay for. They even remove old adhesive residues before balancing them.

I bought a 1979 Porsche 928 in the fall of 2019. It was responsive and running very well for a couple of months when it began to falter quite badly and nearly stall when idling. I brought it to Scan hoping for a resolution. They told me that they checked the spark plugs first, which makes perfect sense, found them to be fine and re-gapped them. They proceeded to the fuel system found a very dirty filter and replaced it. When I picked up the car I asked Tim if it was running smoothly again and I received as rather dismissive ," Well I don't know how well it was running before." He told me unconfidently it seemed better but that it could be related to the other fuel pumps. The charge for this work was $890 after taxes. Below is the quote I received for the possible fuel pump work plus other mechanical concerns that may need addressing. I have cut and pasted it directly from the email they sent me. timing belt+new water pump approx $5600 - tune up - spark plugs, distributor cap+rotor approx $1000 - fuel pumps (there's 3 on this car). Front pump $850, rear $1075. If the in-tank pump has an issue, it usually just gets eliminated, as these cars will run ok without it. We would pull that pump out and just install a filter screen in its place. If you want to replace the pump they are available for $1250 for the part only. - fuel injectors could be replaced one at a time, or all at once. We usually recommend changing them all at the same time $1800/set When I drove it away it was running as poorly as when I dropped it off. I wondered why they wouldn't have just replaced the spark plugs rather than re-gapping the old ones and decided to just park the car for the winter. Last summer I took it to another mechanic. In less than 2 hours he changed all the spark plugs and made a slight adjustment to the air fuel mixture and when I took it out she was running like a top again. I can't help but wonder if Scan actually checked all the plugs because clearly one of them was misfiring. The problem was solved with the most basic of service steps and I left Scan under the impression I would be spending thousands to correct the issue. I have since found a reputable shop that will do the timing belt for a quarter of the quote Scan gave me. Draw your own conclusions but by my estimation the work is not only shoddy but grossly over priced. I would like to address the reply posted below. I did try to let you know that the work done had no effect. I wrote an email to Tim describing as much. I received no reply. This was my first foray into the world of vintage cars and after being told that the problem could have been any one of the fuel pumps or even worse a compression issue I felt rather gutted about buying a car that seemed to run well but now could run me thousands to repair. I parked the car for 7 months not wanting contemplate it. I'm sure you can appreciate how frustrated I was when a simple spark plug change is all it took to fix the problem after months of dreading the car. I can't tell you how many people looked at me with puzzlement when I recounted the story about the plugs being re-gapped, asking me "why didn't they just put new plugs in? " I accept your comments about the comparison for timing belt. I will have to see how that unfolds with the garage I have found, although your exhaustive list of every possible part needing to be replaced seems a little sensational. I would have appreciated a more nuanced quote explaining that the timing belt could run as high as $5600, if that is what you are implying. I probably should have posted the review earlier and equivocated over it for a long time, but frustration got the better of me. The information is laid pretty bare. My review stands.

I just bought a Range Rover from James and his teammate Scan and everything about the experience has been first class. From searching the province for the supercharged model I wanted to making sure that the delivery was smooth. If you are looking for a car that isn't on his active listings, just message him and he will find it. Looking forward to being a life long client James.

A very sad day for me was made easy by the gentlemen of Scan Automotive. Got the bad news my car was a total wright off after going over some rail road tracks. I do mean professional gent's. They know what they are talking about and give you straight up answers. I am a professional businessman my self and don't have the time to waist with grumpy or lack of knowledgeable customer service folk we can't find so often these days. If there were 10 stars for efficient professional help the men who work there would get that from me. If you are thinning of servicing your exotic pull in to the parking lot there and talk to any customer, you will hear the same thing I am expressing here now. Thanks Guys.
