At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers. Today our company is best known for its most prominent banner—Save-On-Foods—but also includes PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare and Bulkley Valley Wholesale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Received the worst customer service ever from Wilma today. Will NOT be returning to Save on Foods and will NOT recommend to anyone. We were in line to return two water jugs. She pointed us towards the other counter, then proceeded to talk with a friend who was leaving the store. Then served someone in front of us. Just rude and ignorant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rarely shop here. Stopped by to see what thongs they carry that might interest me. To be honest their prices before the card discount seem inflated above other stores in Okotoks, but after the discount, they are ok. So their card is a must to shop here. I did find some interesting items but did not purchase today. For a store with their name I would expect more competitive pricing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 15% off every first Tuesday of the month, dont mind if i do! i just moved in from ontario and tax alone is 13% for everything you buy.. the first time iv ever been in a save on foods was first Tuesday of November as i was in self checkout the lady was so friendly, she helped me out with my groceries and asked about my rewards card i did not have one, she told me all the deals i can get especially on tuesday, i had no clue about any of the deals they had, after i paid she said if you sign up you can get the 15% off, i said why not.. she got the manager and they hooked it up, got my 15% back and i was on my way. Great place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent save on foods location. Clean. Well stocked. Excellent produce. They even have a chicken wing bar daily with many kinds of wings. There is even a soft serve yogurt ice cream bar. This is one of the best grocery stores I’ve been in. Like a high end fancy store except it’s well priced.
