There is video circulating from a customer this week who had dark stain under her bed sheets and wanted a new room and was disrespected and berated by 2 staff. I will never go to the Sandman because of the video I saw and how they treated that customer and the disgusting condition of the rooms. Time for a change Sandman.

Disappointed, room smelled of cigarettes, the bathroom fan fell off while I was in the shower, house keeping barged in without knocking while I was exiting the shower. Never ever stay here.

Friendly and polite checkin, rooms were nice, hotel is clean. Location is great, have a park n fly option with shuttle to and from airport. Have stayed many times and this is where we will continue to stay when in Saskatoon.

Reposting your warn others March 4, 2022 I checked into the Sandman Hotel Saskatoon (Room 154, 310 Circle Dr W) and did my regular hotel bed check shortly after check in and noticed a large stain on one bed. I notified the front desk and indicated it resembled blood and staff suggested I put a sheet over to cover the markings. After 3 complaints that evening they finally moved us. In the morning, (Mar 5) I followed up and the manager quickly reviewed the note. Reminded me I got $40 off and a $20 gift card. I disagreed again with how they handled this, it is a health concern risk and should be reported to public health. This is when the older lady and house keeper came in, being super aggressive and told me she is a ‘housekeeping manager’. So I leave because she’s becoming angrier, I then hear her say ‘I don’t give a shit’. I return to complain about her behaviour, the two staff happened to be leaving the front desk and are walking down the hall and as they go I hear them saying ‘she just wants a free room, complaining about anything’. They seen me coming and stopped talking, they went into our first room (with blood) so I joined them since this was my complaint. And this is what happened, the video is 5 min followed by a discussion with the two staff plus a customer rep. Unbelievable, I am shocked. I have left the hotel today and was not charged but it took a lot to argue my concern and defend myself. Staff said the stain was ‘rust’ because the hotel is 150 years old. You can see the angry housekeeper tear apart the bed and discover the garbage bags under the same bed in the video. I am extremely disgusted more so by the way this situation was handled by Sandman Staff. This truly is unprofessional behaviour and nobody deserves to be treated this way nor should any guests never discover something like this. I will be making a formal complaint and taking all necessary steps. I edited the video to remove staff’s identity. #saskatoonsandmanbanquets #sandmanhotelsaskatoon

The rate was very good for an Executive King Suite. You get what you pay for. Generally the hotel is looking run down but is well cleaned. The biggest issue is the pull out sofa bed - my son leaned on the edge of the mattress and it pushed through, he hit his face on the metal frame. We looked underneath and there was a poorly-done take job, so maintenance was aware of this pre-existing issue. I notified two of the staff members, who were friendly and apologetic. I hope they fix this ASAP as it's a safety issue for others

When sleeping at a hotel, there is not room for error on cleanliness. It’s super traumatic to find blood stained box springs in you hotel room… the cleaning staff also stated they don’t change the box spring sheet per guest. Any thing to do with the bed should be sanitized and if possible switched out between guests. The head cleaning lady, clearly cuts corners, and the management supports the lack of cleanliness… Instead of taking the VALID complaint seriously, they instead decided to accuse us of trying to get a free room. The whole experience was traumatic, from being belittled by the staff, as well as having my concerns brushed off. The people operating this place, leave a bad impression towards the chain of hotels. I would never stay in a sandman hotel again, as I do not have confidence in their ability to provide safe and clean services…
