★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought this luggage samsonite omni pc burnt orange spinner set not long ago and this is the first time that I used it. It had a long deep scratch on the bottom and was damaged by the Airport during transportation. I reported to Air Canada and they will not accept my case and "kick the ball" to samsonite. They asked me to repair the damage with samsonite. However, I E-mailed samsonite and this is their reply. "They advised that when it sates “scratch resistant” it does not mean scratch proof (similar to stating water resistant vs water proof). They further advised that this would not be considered a manufacturing defect." I bought this set because it is scratch resistant and hope it will do the job. However it does nothing, and they even play the word game "resistant vs waterproof". If you want to buy this set just be mindful about this is scratch resistant not scratch proof. I know it is normal to have damage to the luggage when you transport it. But this is my first time using it and it does not last very long. The wheels are ok and the luggage is light.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Company Store is okay, nothing special - I would advise people to think very carefully before buying the spinner wheeled luggage though. Samsonite's guarantee does not cover damage from carriers or airport handlers (so is essentially worthless) and the wheels are extremely vulnerable. The weak points on the wheel assemblies are the two small screws that hold them on such that loss of a wheel will result in damage to the body of the suitcase. You can't buy replacement wheels anywhere and a repair shop will charge upwards of $100 per corner for a simple replacement. For expensive luggage this is unacceptable and the spinners should either be better protected or designed to shed a wheel without causing damage to the suitcase body.

While looking over my bag that I was considering Ellen offered up some great advice that this particular bag was too big to fit within some Canadian airlines storage compartments. I felt like I could look around without being harassed but still had help available when needed. Staff felt knowledgeable about their different product lines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so disappointed. After buying this suitcase, I flew back to motherland on the third day. As soon as I went out that morning, the handle broke strangely. Fortunately I had a spare carry on suitcase, otherwise I would have had miss the flight. I strongly suspect that the clerk gave me a defective product.
