They start at 7 PM SHARP so make sure to come on time or else you will miss out on basic counting. The instructors are serious about their lesson and are knowledgeable. Hence, it feels more like a school than a relaxed recreational activity. Be prepared to dance with lots of strangers. Make sure to wear breathable clothing because the small dance studio was packed. Overall, this is a great place to try out salsa dancing.

Having an open and approachable instructor is definitely a bonus, and so is the individual attention each student receives regardless of it being a group class. The other fine instructors at Salsa in the Heart will get you ready for the spins of the Master!

The studio offers three levels of salsa, beginner intermediate and advanced. Miguel is the most qualified teacher and his level of experience is astounding. The other instructors are top notch as well, always helpful and go over the parts you dont understand. Always can find a partner there even if you came on your own. Its a great experience overall.

Miguel brought modern salsa dance skills in with him each week, and taught students great dance moves. He is passionate and makes every student feel comfortable, no matter what level you are at. His lessons are awesome and useful and will help you improve. The most important aspect of his classes is that he isn't boring. You can see his passion from a mile away, making any student who walks into his class, fall inlove with Salsa. Passion is key when trying to find a worthwhile instructor and he is worth it aswell as his classes. Your bound to come out of his lessons as a happier, more energized and skilled dancer.

Miguel always surprise us with the new and stylish patterns that he presents at every new lesson, and I call him a Salsa Library behind his back. Not only I take his lessons twice a week for the last 2 and a half years, but I also test them in the top salsa clubs in Toronto. And I receive the feedback from many advanced ladies right there on the dancing floor - "nice move!!!" - they whisper in my ears. Miguel is very professional and passionate about salsa and about teaching it, and it's never boring and always fun! Why? Because passion is always contagious and inspiring. The other Salsa in the Heart instructors for the beginner levels do an excellent job to prepare you for the advance lessons with Miguel.

I have been going for just over 5 months, and I am now comfortable with dancing out, with other people and their styles-- and I started having never danced salsa before! The instructors are both encouraging and challenging, strict on technique but also invested in your improvement. They are hard teachers in a the best way! I recommend Salsa in the Heart to anyone learning to dance salsa in Toronto! (It is worth my commute from Scarborough to come downtown for it!) :P

He is skilled at different types of dances and blends them into his own unique style of salsa, which looks fantastic on the dance floor! His energetic personality and sense of humour makes for a fun learning environment. He explains the technique very clearly for men and for the ladies, i am sure you will enjoy his classes like I did!
