Dr. Cheema moved to Nolan Hill, Calgary with his wonderful wife, four children. An essential part of the family is Milo, their cuddly cat. Dr. Cheema has worked at a corporate practice in Jacksonville, Florida. He has always had an extreme passion and love for animals which motivated him to choose Veterinary Medicine as his career.
The use of modern technology in the delivery of advance pet care has always been Dr. Cheema’s preference. He has brought his expertise and compassion to Sage Hill Animal Hospital to earn your trust in keeping your furry family happy and healthy. Regardless of his long working hours and demanding schedule, he still enjoys hiking, playing tennis and badminton with his friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’d give 0 star if I can. How this hospital works is you pay upfront fees, and specific items are covered (I.e. sterilization, deworms, vaccination, vet appointments, etc). The fee is not expensive, but apparently you get what you paid for, so expect shady vet.
The vet appointment is completely useless. When we raise a issue or concern about the puppy, we get the same answer every time: you gotta feed him something different (we feed our puppy Acana and Instinct). Then he starts to advertise his own dog food, which based on real dog owners comments, is a very bad quality food. However, it is recommended by many many vets in North America for some reason.
Once he found out we are not interested in his dog food. He started to be very rude to our puppy, which makes the rest of the services covered risky. The puppy is screaming and he didn’t even care to at least try to use a treat or something to calm the puppy down. Rather, he forces the puppy and hurt it.
Furthermore, of course he is rushing all our appointments (being late, being not approachable), because all our fees are paid upfront and those appointments are “covered”, therefore won’t generate any new revenues for the vey.
We will not risk our puppy to do the sterilization with this vet, even though we have paid the fees upfront. We highly doubt the integrity of the vet, and will raise a claim to the relevant authority.
To be 100% fair, the nurses and the reception are nice, patient, and professional. The vet himself doesn’t deserve these staffs.
Stay away from this vet if you want someone who really care about your pets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called Sage Hill Animal Hospital from 3 minutes away to let them know I was coming with my seizing dog. They told me not to come because they closed in half an hour and they wanted to go home on time. No compassion from them, I was just an inconvenience. She proceeded to be unhelpful in quickly finding a place to get help. WILL NOT be considering this clinic in the future. Your receptionist needs to prioritize her people skills.

I am very thankful to all the staff who keep the clinic running smoothly and who show their furry friends such care and consideration. ?

Dr. Cheema is a very skilled Vet, and always has solutions for problems that I cannot find on google. He never pushes treatment outside of what is absolutely required. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girl gets the best of care here from Dr. Cheema and his staff! She can be a bit fussy and vocal and I appreciate the patience and attentive care they provide her every single time. Dr. Cheema has always explained things so thoroughly and appropriately answers any questions I have.
The hours of the hospital are also amazing--staff can typically get me in later in the day when I call in the morning.

It turned out to be a bad bronchitis & was treated immediately. The vet was extremely knowledgeable and kind! We are very appreciative. She was completely on the mend within a week!
