★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Deken is indescribable. His compassion and patience and calm nature is something that is so genuine. He has done 2 in home euthanasias for me and I couldn’t imagine anyone better. He makes such a painful and hard day as wonderful and peaceful as it can be and I just am so grateful for that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Dekens has gained a new client for our remaining dog. We had our 14 year old dog euthanized and it was a beautiful dignified experience. Dirk was professional, kind, and he wrapped up our boy so gently in blankets he brought with him and carried him out on a stretcher. He explained the process thoroughly and the follow up choices for end of life memories is a great touch so you don't have to make all the decisions in the moment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Dekens came to our home to put our elderly sick dog to sleep. It was such a hard decision to make, his staff were very enderstandi g and answered all my question. Dr. Dekens was very compassionate and patient during the procedure and made a terrible experience a little easier. I highly recommend him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over a month ago I made an appointment for my very sick cat with Dekens. I liked the option for a in home visit since she is very anxious and nervous when leaving the house. The girl I spoke to when I made the appointment was very helpful and knowledgeable so I felt confident in booking. Once Dekens got to my house for the appointment, he asked little questions, took no history and offered me some kind of injection he told me would help. I was taken back but concerned enough for my cats health that I decided to go ahead with this.
A couple weeks later (with no real improvement) I called the clinic again. This time it was to obtain the notes Dekens made from the visit to try another doctor and get a second opinion. I spoke to a woman named Vikki who was very rude, pushy, and judgemental towards me and my decision to try elsewhere. After a lengthy conversation with her, I finally received the medical history and was shocked to see that only 2 small sentences were noted regarding the visit. When I showed my new vet this, she was concerned that no other diagnostics were discussed or offered at this visit.
Thankfully, my cat is doing much better now that I’ve switched care. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic. Skip the “middle man” (Dekens) and get a more knowledgeable vets opinion.

The knowledge, care, compassion, and petside manner of the doctors and other staff members is flawless...
But moreso, there's a sense that all of the other supporting office functions have been carefully thought through. Little things, like email reminders of visits....Pills that are cut in half for you if the dosage requires.
I never have to think, worry, or doubt. It's all handled. It's all perfect.
It gives me peace to know that my pet is receiving the best care possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had Dr. Dekens come out for a home call to put my best friend to rest. This was short notice as well. I live all the way on farm outside Airdrie and the price to have this done was nothing compared to the service I received. I am very happy with how everything happened. Dr. Dekens was amazing, and I will use a house call to have this performed when needed moving forward. He was very calm and professional and explained everything to me. I was comfortable around him. He made everything feel okay when it was not. Highly recommend. Friendly staff I must note as well.
