The staff here are extremely nice and accommodating. They run a tight ship. Have almost never had to wait more than 2-3 mins after arrival to get taken in. Dr. Gaunt is a phenomenal family physician. Have also found their modifications during COVID to be practical and focused on maintaining quality of patient care while being up front about protecting everyone’s health. Have recommended this clinic to multiple family and friends. They deserve a way higher rating on here!

I have been absolutely disgusted how this clinic treats its patients. I had a scheduled appointment with my family doctor Dr. Young. A day before my appointment I missed a call from this clinic but since a couple minutes after this missed call, I received a text message saying to confirm my appointment, I didn't call back and confirmed my appointment. I received another message saying my appointment is confirmed. I arrived at the clinic to my appointment and had to wait with my 5-month-old baby and 4-year-old for 20 minutes in my car. When they finally texted me to come inside, I was told my son's appointment has been canceled. I have been told they called and left a voicemail message, which I did not get. I asked why they didn't follow-up with me and I have been told they are short on staff and they do not email or text patients. I asked to see a different doctor, I have been told there is none. I asked why they let me wait for 20 minutes in my car for a cancelled appointment, they said these are automated messages they have no control over. So just like that they waste your time with unbelievably careless, ignorant and arrogant attitude with zero apology, regret or empathy. All they could do is to reschedule your appointment. Later on, I have also realized that Dr. Young called me 15 mins! prior to my appointment. Obviously, I was driving to the appointment and didn't take the call. Don't you dare to get upset with this kind of behavior as you will be labelled as 'abusive'. When I got home, I got another call from Dr. Young that me and my babies are being discharged from this clinic because 'they don't need this during these times'. That is how you and your little ones might be treated at this clinic and by this very doctor. I am no longer client of this clinic, however, 2 days later I received another useless automated message wanting me to confirm my rescheduled appointment?!

First of all, my appointment was rescheduled without consulting me. It was scheduled in a day when clearly they weren’t able to see me in a timely manner. When it was rescheduled, I arrived 15 minutes early and texted that I arrived. Within 2 minutes I was texted back and told to come in as the were ready for me. When I went in, I checked and and was asked to sit and wait. After waited for 45 minutes, I asked the receptionist Ashely if I would be seeing my rheumatologist soon, as I saw several patients arrive, be seen and leave as I was still waiting. Her response was β€œwell, if you’re tired of waiting, you should rebook your appointment.” Not an ideal response....I said that the appointment was already rescheduled once. Her second response was β€œpatients having a flare have priority over my appointment, and well, covid.” This is completely unacceptable, medical clinics should have the procedure and protocols in order already, covid is not an excuse. Neither is putting other patients needs ahead of others. Leaving a patient in the waiting room with their 6 month old for an hour and a half is extremely unprofessional, let alone during covid. Needless to say, I will never go back to this clinic who strives to be rude, unapologetic and unprofessional. Ashley, if you don’t like your profession or working with the public, perhaps you should look into another career. I’m now seeing a new clinic/rheumatologist. I will not spend my time at an office who doesn’t value my time or my health.

Dr. Gaunt and his staff are excellent, both pre and during Covid. Dr. Gaunt has a focus about overall health goals, not just fixing the issue of the day. He is also knowledgeable about different medications; for my specific issue we had to switch to a different medication, which I appreciated because he listened to me and viewed me as a person, not a number. Their availability is also impressive; whenever I've called to book an appointment, it's usually my own schedule that is the issue, as they can accomodate me quicker than expected!

When to visit Dr Alexandra, explained the great deal of pain I'm in - and she flat out didn't believe me. I had to beg her to take my blood work, she finally agreed and after asking for my bloodwork to give to my naturopath - they told me they no longer wish to have me as a client but they promised to send my bloodwork to the other clinic, which they did after 2 weeks of waiting and asking. Turns-out the blood work explained the pain I was dealing with. They don't care about their patients at all, I'm greatly disappointed in this clinic.

The front desk staff, pharmacist, and nurses here are very friendly and nice. HOWEVER, Dr. Sabrina Apel is just terrible. She is very rude and arrogant and she is just not a caring person. She wants you in and out. I had one treatment with her and it was SO terrible I feared to go back, I had coordinated taking my sisters anxiety medication before another procedure with her. Thankfully I was able to move my treatment to my family doctor and what a world of difference that is. I am absolutely terrified of needles and am prone to passing out due to blood pressure loss when I get any sort of injection. I told her of this many times, and of course, before the procedure. Dr. Apel never was supportive during the procedure or told me what was going to happen, or what was happening while I was there for it. Not a single heads up of what was going to happen. My first procedure ever needing needles in my face, head, neck and shoulders, and she had nothing to say to me. Just β€œsit here”, did the injections, and went β€œokay see you” and walked out. I went to the bathroom after and sat on the floor because I felt like I was going to pass out. My family doctor told me what was going to happen, gave me a stress ball and hooked me up to a blood pressure machine to monitor my blood pressure while they did the procedure. Talked to me through the procedure to distract me the entire time. They even had calming music and a screen on the roof with pictures to distract you! They consistently asked how I was doing and how I felt. What a difference. Won’t recommend Dr. Apel at all for anything. She may be a smart woman in a specialty office, but she won’t handle you with any care.

My daughter works at an approved home for Alberta Mental Health and I wish my doctor was as consistent and persistent as Dr. Bealing is with one of the gentlemen my daughter cares for. He is older, lower IQ and suffering with mental illness. His family is uninterested in helping him. Dr. Bealing’s office manager (receptionist?) called continually to try and insure his tests get done. The girl who answers the phone is extremely sweet and helpful. This seems like a great clinic.

I really loved my family doctor from this location but unfortunately she moved on partway through the pandemic. It took quite a while after that, but Pinnacle Medical has now found our family a new doctor at one of their other locations, and we are excited to meet her soon. Thank you!
