I shop here when I am in Kamloops partly because it seems to be on my way no matter where I am going. The items I buy are usually available here and the store layouts are similar so I have to hunt for them.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is clean and organized. I also love to collect air miles.

Good selection of groceries. They have a good selection of organic produce and frozen organic food. Staff are very pleasant

Clean and well stocked. However was hardly able to get thru some aisles there was so much product in the ends and down others.

I had an absolutely terrible experience this morning. I'm a regular, live down the road, and am a weekly pharmacy client. My mother came with me today, while I stopped at the pharmacy, so she could grab groceries. I finished with the pharmacy, and as usual the interaction was incredibly professional. I almost always leave there with a smile on my face. They're a small group of great people in there. It was when we went to pay the issue at hand came up. We had like five things. We finish scanning, go to pay, and the machine puts the silly "We need to check your bags" message. The moment the message came up the attendant for the self check walked away from her computer screen. So, my Mom walked right up to her at another machine (she wasn't helping anyone else), and said "Excuse me" five different times. The lady completely ignored her. Another lady working in the personal tills heard my mom a few tills over, but this lady ignored her; she was standing about a foot away from her and inched closer everytime she said excuse me. After my mom politely tried to get her attention five times, I spoke up assertively and I'll admit quite loudly. I also started recording the interaction after the lady ignored my mother, and I spoke up. (audio only) After I spoke up a number of employees came over, one specifically from customer service who was INCREDIBLY rude, and treated me as if I'd done something wrong. She was ridiculously unprofessional. I stayed polite, and assertive. I didn't use profanity, or say anything insulting either. I just articulately, and assertively made it clear I found it completely unacceptable how we were being treated. I hope whomever is reading this is reading it with an open mind. Not every interaction is like this, but I've had more negative interactions at this location than almost anywhere else combined my 36 yrs of life. The moment I told her I was recording the interaction (audio only, my right as a Canadian due to it being a one party country), her attitude changed instantly, and she gave me a curt "I hope you have a great day". The pharmacy is almost always super professional though, and if I do have issues with them I bring it up directly. The issues I'm constantly having are with the store in general; and its lack of good loss prevention training. I have a business degree from UBC, and have ran multiple big box stores; as well as smaller chains. There is no excuse for a regular customer to have so many negative interactions regularly. I am extremely polite, and always use my manners. If I do have an issue I am assertive, but never rude. Unfortunately some people don't understand the difference, and think the moment you hold them accountable for their actions you're the bad guy. They not only flagged our self check, on purpose, probably based on my image, but they then proceeded to shame us for trying to get help so we could pay; after the person in charge of the area blatantly ignored my mother. You'd think they'd realize I'm a regular after almost a full year of me in & out once a week for the pharmacy; and often more than that when I need to do some grocery shopping. I still get followed around blatantly when I shop there too, and for the ENTIRE time I shop; to the point it's quite ridiculous. I've even had an employee that was following me make rude remarks to me on two separate occasions. Both occasions I've personally spoken to management over. Not everyone with tattoos, who enjoys dressing comfortably in sweats is a thief. I've never stolen a thing in my life, and I am wholeheartedly sick of being judged everytime I shop somewhere; especially somewhere I have shopped for an entire year the end of next month!! I am a full-time single father, that just wants to shop without discrimination, and/or nonsense. DO BETTER.

The self checkouts at this place make me actually want to punch kittens. They are super slow, bug you for your air miles even after you say no, lock up and freeze often and call for help all the time. Add to that half the items I try to lookup fail with no item found when selecting it and I really can't be bothered to stop here much anymore. There is also never enough regular tills open with tons of people in line.

There really is no excuse to only having 1 cashier on at the busiest time of the day. Huge line of people on both self checkout and at the 1 cashier. Around 20 minutes from when I got in line is when I finally got out of the store. In that time no other cashiers opened up or were even called to open up.

Monday's a great day to pick up a ham hot and ready from the deli. The ribs were good too, I was told (not sure if gluten free as I did not check). The cashier was friendly and fast. The produce well stocked and I found all the products I cane for.
