(the young lad with the curly hair on fleek) I had a complicated issue and was feeling awful about it, he but he went above and beyond to solve the issue. He had such a kind and smiling demeanor the whole time. THANK YOU PATRICK YOU ROCK!
J	Jeremy Rochussen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to shop here regularly before getting an $86 parking ticket for briefly leaving my car (<3 mins) before shopping at Safeway. I could understand receiving a ticket during peak hours where extra cars could displace customers, however this was a half empty parking lot during the middle of a weekday. The fine amount is also disproportionate, especially considering city of Van tickets are half the amount. It seems more like a method of making money off of people than a deterrent, especially when you consider their parking lot surveillance system is watching customers closely enough to identify which direction they left their car in real time. The parking ticket threatens increased fines, towing and impound of your car, and sending the claim to a debt collector. The good news is that as a private parking lot, they have no legal recourse to actually force me to pay their ticket unless I return to their parking lot. So the easy solution is to just never return to this parking lot and take my business elsewhere. I imagine I am not the first former customer to make this conclusion. I really wish I had read the numerous other reviews of people being taken advantage of by this Safeway's slimy practices and avoided it earlier.
S	Sean Willis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always well stocked but it is so ridiculously busy that the queues for the till snake through to the back of the store. The Staff are wonderful and friendly once you finally get there but there’s no self-scanning section so wait times can be upwards of 20 minutes, even worse on a Friday evening. In the morning they only had one cashier working so there’s no such thing as beating the rush. The butcher department is often unattended and the deli staff aren’t able to assist in that area so expect to wait there too while they try find someone. Would suggest going to the Safeway on Broadway for a better experience or if you can, try the Arbutus one for an amazing grocery shopping experience.
E	Erica Denison on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has been my neighborhood Safeway since my mom and dad took me shopping. I have very positive memories shopping here. Currently Anthony the supervisor for the night shifts, and seems like he has been with this location for at least 20 plus years, is very kind to everyone, he treats every customer, and people dropping off cans/bottles with respect and care. I have noticed he very nicely mentors, trains and coaches all of the new staff too, as well he just keeps the whole night time operation running smoothly, I tend to shop at night and find he makes the whole experience fantastic. The produce section is well stocked even at night when customers have been selecting their produce through the day. Although the store is small it carries key staple items that I regularly use and buy. Just be careful if you are driving as the lot is regularly checked and tickets are given for a variety of reasons, there is a sign on the lot explaining them, I think if you stay past two hours or leave the lot to shop at other stores. The lot is classically very full, as this is a very busy location and line ups can be busy too.

On this trip we went for a booster shot. Simple and easy. And got a few items we needed. Plus a sandwich for lunch.
