" I've never really had many situations that would require guitar repair. Usually  I could fix myself, or I would be buying a new guitar. In December last year my  LTD EC-1000 got destroyed. Neck, headstock, fret board, nut, tuning keys... I  mean the headstock had been severed from the rest of the guitar. I was gonna  take the remaining parts and call it a trip to buy a new guitar. Instead I  thought about it, and started looking for someone besides a corporation. I  landed on a Kijiji add, RSM Custom Guitar Works. I sent a message on the Kijiji  app, which is same as emailing, and I got a reply within an hour. Very easy  going and friendly, didn't accept cash upfront which I offered. Told me if he  couldn't fix it than I wouldn't be paying at all. 2 days later he had sent me a  message with details including what would cost how much, and options as to how I  wanted what done. All in all in less than a week, my guitar was back in my  hands. For what I payed, more than worth it. Fast professional service. I would  recommend RSM over the countless guitar shops I've dealt with in this city. No  question.            THANKS RSM!!"

From the onset of this challenging build Richard was a true pro. His enthusiasm is truly a blessing. Great communicator and appreciated the updates. We embarked on a process of restoring an old peavey wolfgang. This included a rising sun relic paint job. Also reliced the chrome hardware. Amazing!! The pictures speak for themselves. Let's not forget that this wolf plays awesome after a wicked fret job. The new electronics has the sound soaring! Awesome experience and have a few more projects in mind. Richard can't thank you enough. Greg

I first ran across RSM through their website while I was looking for a local Luthier. I hadn't bought a new guitar in over 40 years and I wanted to get my new Les Paul set up properly. I was immediately put at ease with the depth of knowledge and level of professionalism and skill displayed. My guitar was set up exactly as I wanted and plays beautifully. The benefit of having access to such a skilled luthier was obvious , so over the course of the past year I've brought no less then 7 more new guitars to RSM for work. As well, I have referred a number of friends and musicians to RSM for repairs, every one of whom were thoroughly impressed and will continue to go back. Lastly, this past summer I commissioned RSM to custom build a semi hollow body electric guitar for me. It was meticulously hand crafted with attention paid to every minute detail. Right from the selection of the wood, to the hand wound pick ups, the locking tuning pegs and of course the beautiful piano finish. I've had it for a few months now and it is truly a work of art and a thrill to play. And it's gutsy resonant sound goes on forever. Every bit what I would have expected from RSM. We call her " Black Beauty "

I recently purchased a used Telecaster on Kijiji ,got a great deal and the guitar was what i was looking for . After closer inspection when i got it home i noticed some of the frets had wear spots on them ,plus the previous owner had swiped out the original pups for aftermarket pups that i wasn't too crazy about . I emailed Richard in what i wanted done ,he responded back quickly .after a few days in RSM Richard emailed me explaining what had to be done after looking over the guitar with a quote. During the complete repair process photos were taken and sent to me. Very professional !!!!! My Tele now plays like its suppose to and sounds Fantastic !!!!!! As far as im concerned RSM is the place to go for your guitar work . Thank you Richard !!!!!

TOP NOTCH REFINISHING!!! Richard's work restoring my bound guitar is more aptly described as "Restored, +". The Black Nitro finish is of a much higher quality than the original. (It's like a fine grand piano!). He could have easily and simply matched it. But he's so much more capable than that, so I tapped into his talent- and was not disappointed! The rest of the build was of a similar quality, excellent set up and playability! Don't wonder, don't hesitate... call!

I took my Fender F-25 acoustic to RSM recently after the guitar sat for many years unplayed. It was in need of an overhaul including all new frets and glue repairs to the neck, bridge and binding. Richard responded promptly and is friendly and knowledgeable. After setting a time to bring the guitar in he was able to bring the guitar back to playing shape within just a few days. During the time the guitar was in the shop Richard sent email updates about his progress with pictures. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend RSM to others in need of professional guitar maintenance.

I brought in my SG for a complete re-wire to β€œun-bot” it. I could not be happier with the service and professional caliber of work. It plays and sounds better than when it was new! I will absolutely be seeing Richard for all of my future guitar work.

I find it rather hard to believe that anyone could give this guy under 5 stars. I just had some pretty extensive work done on my guitar and I am beyond impressed. Tested it out briefly in his shop and I knew it was minty. Brought home my guitar to find it was brand spanking new again, plays like a dream. Sounds louder, sounds BETTER. I will be a return customer. Speedy work, thorough, and an all around excellent experience. Be sure to say hi to his wonderful dog, "Sadie" :)

My story goes like this: I have a Gibson J-55 that needed some attention. I was looking around online, and saw the ad for this website. I sent in inquiry and received a response within a day, asking for pics. The owner, Richard, asked to take a physical look at it, so I arranged to bring it to his shop. He asked what I wanted done, and he asked me to leave it in his hands, which I did. I was not disappointed. Richard did a great job on the repair and restoration. It plays like a different instrument, feels better than before. The sound is something else, too; it sounds, I dunno, louder! Guess I'll know better once I start using it on stage again. Thanks so much!
