No desire to provide customer service, re follow up and call back or work with potential client β€œIt is what it is” attitude. Tried Fenex windows and doors and was a much better experience.

Do I have to give one star? Takes forever for them to call you back. The windows are NOT "simply the best," contrary to their ads. Installation was shotty, and window seal failed after one year. There are better local places around.

What an awful experience. They start at 8am, open the door themselves after only knocking once. Left the place a mess! I left for work around 9, leaving my boyfriend there as they continued to work. The clock was ticking and soon it became 11 and he had to go. Before he left though, he asked them to let the cats out of their cage before they left and put the curtains back up. We're on the lowest level (half above ground) of an apartment in a sketchy area of town. We'd rather not have people looking in our windows. I understand that may not be part of their job description, but they did say they would to my boyfriend. Anyways, the roommate gets home around 6 to find 1) the door unlocked and not closed properly 2) a mess of the place (furniture not put back, debris on the floor) 3) the cats have been in their cage for 10 hours and 4) the curtain rods on the floor. To boot all that, the landlord comes with a story about how the workers said to him "a blonde had told them to leave it that way". Me being the only blonde of the group, they looked to me. I left at 9am and never spoke one word to any of the workers. Im beyond mad. if you have a choice, do NOT pick this company.

Window sealed failed. Seems to be a common thread in the reviews. They did not come and look at it, I had to email a photo and then I had to follow up after a few weeks only to be told that are checking into pricing a new window as warranty has expired. Sales person told me that seal rarely fails, yet I am seeing from the reviews, it much more frequent than he lead me to believe. That should be a thumbs down and no stars.

This review is limited to my consultation with Pierre. He was extremely professional and a pleasure to meet. I cannot speak to quality of installation or the product. That said, they've been around for a very long time and our order was expected to be only available in mid-January (I write this Nov 1st). They are obviously very busy. This does make me think the 4 negative reviews to be misleading. A single bad installation or a competitor is my bet.

September 5 2017, the installers arrived almost two hours late and I had to give them a call to find out what was going on. On their arrival I had everything prepared as per their request such as the furniture moved, valuables covered and I even went through the effort of covering my wood floors with tarps to protect them. The workers chose to remove my working tarps claiming they are slippery. They had rubberized mats (runners) that they promptly ran but were not covering the entire area where they were working. As you can imagine damage was done to my floors, minor scratches and dents not to mention the dust, insulation and wood chips. After the first day, a substantial amount of sawdust, insulation and foam could be found throughout the home. I also noticed large amounts of damage to the drywall around my new windows. The lead installer had to leave prior to the last window being installed. At the conclusion of the project, his right hand man collected most of the money but I refused to pay everything until the two broken windows were repaired. I discussed with him the problems with the drywall, the fact that caulking was not done around all four sides of the windows and the mess. His answer was to speak to my salesman. According to the installer, they fulfilled their contract. Caulking is aesthetic and only done on both sides, this is construction and dirt, dust and insulation is to be expected and I should have caught the mouldings earlier and paid out of pocket to get wider mouldings. I refused to pay until we could come to an agreement as I had to spend 47 hours to repair all the drywall, prime and paint. This does not include my floors which are still damaged and the $1800 paid repair to repaint the scratched fender on my car when the men plugged in an extension cord in my garage without consent. With much difficulty, Jeff and I emailed and had phone conversations back and forth. The communication was very poor. He kept saying nothing was their responsibility and it should have been brought up before completion even though I did bring it up, via phone call and email. He kept asking what I wanted and I said for them to make this right. He said he would talk to the district manager and get back to me. Four days later he called back and asked what I wanted once again. In frustration I said 1000$ to cover materials. He laughed and said he would ask but it would probably not happen. Two weeks later he called back and asked me when I would pay to which I answered how are we going to solve our issue. Jeff said they have done nothing wrong and that I had to pay or they would send me to collections. I found this unacceptable and went to his office to have an in person conversation with him and the store manager. They dug their heels in saying they could not see anything on my pictures and the installers were in disagreement with my claim that damage was created. I asked Jeff to visit the home with me as I have photographs of before and after and I would be pleased to show him the damages. Both Jeff and the store manager refused. I even called the district manager who politely told me I was attacking them and if I did not pay he had to defend himself by sending me to collections. According to him the $1000.00 I was claiming was exorbitant and any refund would not happen as they had already given me a great deal (according to him). Please do not work with this company. After further research other companies offer similar products with much better after sale service and much better communication for a flawless installation and a happy customer.

Very poor customer service from Pierre and his Director. We just signed a contract to have a patio door installed. Pierre told me the installer would be by on Saturday to measure but he was a no show. The next day he called twice in 26mins while I was at church with my family. After church I checked my voice messages and the installer let himself into my backyard to measure, squeezing himself through my fence gate that was frozen half closed. The worst part was when I complained to Pierre about this, his Director and him asked the question β€œif I was worth the hassle” and they cancelled my contract. I verified this also by phone. I called Pierre and he explained it to me. No discussion, just canceled. I’m so glad however to not get into business with these guys if that is how they handle customer complaints/concerns. 2019/03/04. Just quick update. We did end up with a great company who installed our patio door. I highly recommend Fenex Windows and Doors in Orleans over Roberge or Verdun. Our triple pane, 12ft, 4 panel patio door was installed perfectly on the first go, they even installed a new 12ft LVL header to support the larger custom opening. I'm so happy things didn't work out with Roberge. The sales and customer service however at Fenex was outstanding! 2019/06/21

In 2020 I purchased a house that had windows installed by Roberge in 2015. I noticed one of our windows was leaking water, had ants coming through it, and was quite drafty. This past weekend I removed the window trim to investigate what the issue was. What I discovered was a poor window installation. - The trim itself was barely secured. A quick pull with my hands removed the entire trim all at once. Furthermore, there was a 1-inch gap between the trim and the wall at the top of the window, allowing air to flow from outside. - The window was not square in the window frame. - The bottom wood piece of the frame was not angled, preventing drainage. - There was no flashing tape used around the window frame. - There were large holes in the corners of the frame that had not been sealed. - There was no spray foam used, or any other kind of air sealing solution. Just heavily compressed fibreglass batts. This does little to prevent cold air from entering your home. I also noticed that outside the house, there was no caulking between the window trim and the siding of the house. The house had its siding replaced in 2019, and the caulking should have been done by the siding contractors, so I can't comment on whether this was done beforehand by Roberge. As a result, besides the issues I mentioned above, I'm beginning to have wood rot in the window frame. Since one window was installed like this, I have to assume all my windows were installed similarly. I'll have to repair all the windows to prevent further damage to my home. So, in summary, it seems this firm doesn't know how to install windows.
