Riverbend Terrace - Broadstreet Properties Ltd. - Winnipeg

Please for your sanity do not rent from this place. It is extremely overpriced, beyond loud, and basically a glorified party house. We have lived here for the past year and a half, and have had nothing but issues. Firstly and most importantly, a fire started on our neighbors balcony because some idiot keeps flicking his cigarette butts off his balcony and if we had not been sitting on our own balcony it would have started a much bigger problem. Think they care? Nope. Other issues include the broken fire alarm that goes off in the middle of the night for over half an hour, the elevator that is constantly not working, and the door Fobs that don't open. The neighbors upstairs bang around so much that pictures have fallen off the walls, the people across the hall let their children run up and down the hallways screaming in the middle of the night, and the neighbors beside us who throw plates at each other in the hall way and have the cops called on them constantly. No matter how many times you call they do nothing. The management is constantly changing. Not to mention they try everything they possibly can to screw you out of your damage deposit. This includes a PRE-Inspection to your normal move out inspection that they would prefer you not home for. The list of prices they charge for move out are absolutely ridiculous (this includes $3.00 per normal burnt out light bulb and $15 per kitchen light bulb and $150 if your car accidentally drips oil in the parking lot) I could go on and on and on but we have finally been able to move out of this wretched place.

Do not rent here. We have been living here for 8 months. Management acts quick only when your money needs to be collected. They will even try to make you pay for cleaning in the end. On top of that, angry teenagers aiming to become gangsters as neighbours. Engine reving day and night under our window. A smell of weed in the vent. On the plus side, it is warm and dry. Not enough for the price.

All their properties are cheap cardboard boxes that are not maintained at all!!!

Lived at Riverbend Terrace for just over a year and it was great! Awesome location, walking distance to grocery stores, banks, restaurants, and gas station. Site Manager Mel was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made sure site was well maintained and taken care of. 5/5 would recommend this property to everyone.

Management at 2471 Main Street are thieves. . They are doing renovation with Custmer deposit. Please make sure when you are going to rent make the video & take photographs of apartments and and at move you they will refuse to return deposit then you can show move in pictures . Otherwise they will change floor , countertop with your money of deposit . That happen to me . There are other nice rental properties .

Great location, quiet area although there is a highschool. The cleaning staff are nice but the manager is rude. They don't bother taking their shoes off when coming in the apartments for checkups and fixing. Checkups are almost every month, 5-6 people coming in the apartment with shoes on, they don't always take them off if you ask, especially the manager. Our suite is not pet friendly, we are allergic to fur. The manager accused us twice of having let a dog in our apartment, there has never been a dog in our apartment. Also we have issues with the stove, they fix it but it breaks again a couple of days later. This has happened countless times and they don't replace the appliance. Also there is a zoo living above our suite...

Not sure what all the negative reviews are all about. I've lived in my Broadstreet apartment building in Winnipeg for over 2 years now. To date - The local management are a pleasure to deal with. The apartment grounds and common area are well maintained. Any concerns I've had have been dealt with in a timely manner. It's a wood construction apartment building, noise funnels in from above from your neighbors. Management were upfront about this. I rarely hear my neighbors. Building is quiet. You get a considerable amount of apartment for the money. When I've compared size and quality of the offering vs. anything I've looked at in the city so far, Broadstreet has been superior. You have the ability to rent month to month - for a premium, or there is savings for locking in your lease for 1 or 2 year terms. The model is consistent from each of their buildings. Experience will vary depending on local management I'm sure. Materials used in the fixtures aren't designer standard, but it is a rental property, and the pricing structure reflects it. I've had nothing but positive experience so far in 2+ years.

i've lived at these apartments for over 3 years now yet every winter we get our terrible snow falls and they fail to plow our lots properly/on time, expecting us to clear out the snow. i've had my car towed out of my own parking spot at one point for absolutely no reason and i wouldn't be provided a reason as to why my car was towed. i would not advise anyone to move into these buildings, the lady in the management office is completely rude every time i have called and has a terrible attitude towards neglecting our concerns as people that pay well over $1300 every month. other renters with dogs fail to clean up their messes outside and half the time let them use the washroom right by the entrances. these apartments are overpriced for what you actually get when you sign the lease.
