About LA Dance Academy

Our Facilities

L.A. Dance Academy prides itself on having one of the best facilities in the city. With our strict safety policy, everyone can rest assured that our facility has been completely designed with safety in mind. Each one of our three spacious dance studios features full-length- wall to wall mirrors, ballet barres, and a non-slip, professional Marley dance floor, which prevents fatigue and reduces the risk of injury. Our studio 1 also has professional sprung floor.

Our studios are also equipped with top of the line sound system and TV’s for educational purposes. For the additional comfort of parents and guests while you wait, our lobby is equipped with televisions and comfortable seating. We also have large observation windows so that you can watch your dancer progress throughout the season. Please give us a call for a tour of our facility; we’d be happy to show you all that we have to offer.

We think that there are four main things every parent should know before choosing. Check the link below.

The instructors are wonderful, their assistants are amazing with the kids; but I find communicating with the studio staff has been a challenge, usually taking 2 or 3 emails for a response, and phone calls go to voicemail. This has become an ongoing issue and I dont appreciate them making me chase them for responses.

Not a fan. Such an unwelcoming environment. This will be my daughters first and only year. She’s been dancing for several years and we decided to go with a new studio this past year, what a mistake. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice building. The studios are a decent size. However when asking a question to staff and/or dance assistants? At least pretend to care when asked a question.

My daughter has been dancing at LA going on 5 years now and we couldn't be happier. I did my research when seeking a dance studio, and I am glad I did. Because only then was I shown how amazing this dance studio is. Some of these comments are hilarious. Getting mad about paying for pictures or recital tickets - guess what, nothing in life is free and you pay for quality. Every studio charges for recitals unless you are registered with a bundy cheap dance studio that doesn't even teach your child how to dance. And don't want to pay for dance pics - no one forces you too. That's your choice to take a cheap pic with your phone and frame that. The staff are and always have been welcoming 24/7 from day one. Patient, knowledgable and welcoming always. They have made our entire family feel like their extended family since the minute we registered. I am so happy my daughter dances at LA Dance. They continue to inspire her and encourage her to reach her dreams. Any one who honestly has a bad comment or vibe about LA Dance Academy needs to re-evaluate themselves!!! Much love...

I've seen some of the negative posts and I'm just baffled because my family LOVES this studio! If you click on those who have negatively reviewed it however i'm not surprised as they seem to have a bad review on every place they've ever been to... Anways!... We just finished my daughters photo day and the amazing staff made the day so special and the photo process is very easy and smooth. They never pressure you to buy photos and its so nice to have this as an optional add on because I would never have time to do this on my own! We love that their front desk staff is available at all times to answer our questions and they are always so welcoming. The instructors are also so friendly and are so great with the kids! We've been to a few dance studios and this one is by far the best one!

This past year has been a difficult one for small businesses and dealing with guidelines to keep our children safe BUT LA Dance Academy has not only risen to the challenge, they continue to rise! Whether its on line or in studio (stringent sanitizing protocols in place) the immensely talented teachers and amazing staff continue to put the dancers first and encourage their love of dance!! In the competitive dance world we can focus on the negative (no competitions) or we can focus on the positive, our children are active, they are interacting with team mates in a safe and positive environment doing something they love AND they are continually learning from incredible teachers who clearly love what they do!! Keep up the great work and we look forward to this season, no matter what it may look like!!

I have been dancing with LA Dance Academy since the 2010/2011 dance year. It has always felt like home for me. Knowing other studios and what their costs can be for the regular recreational classes (not including specialty or competitive), LADA has good rates and great payment plan options for you to choose from. Staff are friendly, and the owner is involved with what's happening in her studio by being present all the time (ranging from seeing her daily at the studio to being at dance competitions with the students). I especially have felt safe at the studio during the pandemic. When we were allowed to come back for in-studio, they found ways to route traffic so that there would not be a lot of people waiting in the lobby between classes. They also did (and still do) cleaning inbetween. Since classes are back to back, they would take the last 10 minutes, that were now used to have students gather and leave through the new exit routes, to use a sanitizing machine to spray the studio surfaces most often used. It always smells clean when you enter. And if you feel you need to clean your hands inbetween, there are sanitizer bottles found either in the studio spaces or around the lobby by the front doors or reception.

i don't usually write negative reviews but my whole experience at this place was just unpleasant. you don't get the full 45 minutes of class. They said they would end the class at 9:40 to sanitize for the next class. My thoughts are sanitizing should be done after class time. It shouldn't be done at our expense because parents paid for a 45 minute class every week. I would come to the door at 9:40 and the children would already be waiting in line with their jackets on. It gave me the impression that they ended the class even earlier than 9:40. The doors open right at 9, meaning they don't start the class right on the dot. Very poor communication as well. They lost my daughter's tap shoes and staff said sent out an email to everyone about it. It was the last week of dance class and they still couldn't find it. Turns out the email was not sent out. They sent it when the season was already coming to an end. My 4 year old came home and said "i don't want to go to dance class. the teacher is mean." Teacher assistants are unfriendly.

In the time I have been involved with the studio, I have nothing but a positive experience. I find staff and management to be friendly and very approachable, always willing to help when needed. Throughout the pandemic the studio has maintained a very high standard of cleanliness, always keeping students and staff safety in mind. I have been a part of the dance community for over 25 yrs first as a parent, and now as a student, and I have to say LA has been amazing.
