We were at the former TSC store today June 19th and when we were leaving a truck with Rintouls Pools and Spas plastered all over it started backing out of a parking spot directly outside the front doors while I was about to drive behind and past it. I gave two quick honks of my horn to let the the driver who wasn't paying attention know that I was there and the truck promptly stopped. As I drove past I turned my head towards the truck to make sure it didn't proceed when I saw the driver a white male with a beard looking at us in his drivers side mirror yelling at us ( probably obscenities, had our windows up ) we noticed people were staring in the Rintoul trucks direction no doubt dumb founded. To the driver of the Rintoul truck, I HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY, Learn to control your anger you need Anger Management Help. I have your awesome driving habits on Dash Cam and have saved it to file. We also will never do business with Rintoul Pools and Spa ever since this is the kind of behaviour they represent in public and with their company logo all over their trucks. Very unprofessional.

My partner and I are new to the pool world and got ourselves an above ground, knowing very little on how to balance a pool we went to Rintoul’s. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and helpful to show us the importance of the chemicals and what to do for weekly upkeep.

We bought a hot tub cover to be delivered…. Two months later it still hadn’t show up. Turns out they sold it to someone else and apparently they can’t get a replacement for us. They don’t care to fix this and “solved the problem” by finally giving a refund 4 months later. The most frustrating thing is we called the manufacturer and they have it in stock, so I guess Rintouls has just decided we’re not worth the trouble? Very disappointing.

I have been going to Rintoul's for about 3 years now. I had never had a pool before, so knew there was going to be a huge learning curve... boy was I right! Over the last 3 years, I have had many, many interactions with pretty much everyone at Rintoul's, and I have always felt comfortable coming to them all with my plethora of questions, and my very regular water samples. Every single member of their staff has always treated my sister and I with the utmost respect, and they feel like family... I especially feel appreciated and that they really care when I am asked how our cats are doing! They like to sit at the glass door and watch when the pool is opened and closed, and are always a topic of conversation! Recently, I have been having trouble getting my chemical balances under control, so have been visiting them twice weekly. With their help, a LOT of their help, I have finally been able to get my pool cleared! Thank you all so, so much!! I would highly recommend Rintoul's to anyone!

This company put in our in ground pool a couple years ago. First initial meeting with Phil was great, after that everything went down hill. Very poor customer service. Very poor communication. The pool lights are currently broken, they have been for a couple months now. The lights are taking longer than expected but we can not get Rintouls to respond to any emails for an update. Hey Phil, When will the replacement pool lights be in? The ones that are still covered under warranty. Communication would be appreciated. We have emailed you 3 times since last week and have received no response. We also bought a hot tub from them. Then we were getting shocked when in the hot tub...also warranty work. There isn't enough room here for me to write about the incredibly poor customer service/warranty work with that. We would not recommend this company to anyone. I gave one star only because it won't let me post it without at least one.

The team of Ryan, Jordan, and Ian are the best! Ryan helped us choose a new liner and measured our pool exactly. The new liner fits perfectly, and with all the updates to the fittings, our 30 year old pool looks brand new and classy. The guys worked together amazingly well and quickly, and were a pleasure to have here over the two days. Pleasant and professional craftsmen - we'd have them back anytime. Thanks, guys, for a terrific job. Bob and Anna Bassett.

My husband posted a review here a couple months ago because Phil would not communicate at all about when the pool lights, that are covered under warranty, would be replaced. After posting the review Phil finally emailed a response. He told us that the info and serial numbers had already been submitted to Hayward. When I contacted Hayward they told me that there had been no communication from Phil about our broken pool lights. Phil also acknowledged that the broken lights are covered under warranty but as long as my husbands negative review stayed on Google there would be no follow up. So the warranty work will not get done because Phil doesn't want a negative review on Google. That seems like something potential customers should know about. This and the last review are the truth about our experience with Phil Rintoul. We do not recommend this company to anyone. In fact, when I hear about anyone who is thinking about putting a pool in, or buying a hot tub, I make a point of letting them know about our experience with this company. If you want to be disappointed and frustrated then this is the company for you. This negative review and the last one will not be coming down Phil. People deserve to know what they can look forward to if they get a pool/hot tub from you. Thank goodness for Google reviews.

Posting for my elder mother-inlaw feels like she has being taken advantage of for multiple years. This company has repeatedly missed appts, does not call you or answer calls. They have no problem taking your money very early but then not show up for scheduled appointments and once you finally get a hold of them they lost your appt... say they will fit you in and still not show up and no call to advise why. We need a good pool service company in this area that actually cares. No stars deserved. Beware
