★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compared to my previous agencies (have been sick for 10 yrs), RAH's management/supervisor is much more available than others. The PSW is receptive to feedback and has good manners. However, after about six months, things started to deteriorate (not washing hands upon arrival, not wearing mask properly, "forgetting" instruction I gave her only minutes ago, not returning things to their places after cleaning/using). Most recently, some bizarre behaviour occurred, e.g., putting a dirty rag (she had wiped her shoes with it as she had forgotten her indoor slippers) on my kitchen counter, using the bathroom cleaner on the kitchen counter, not using the tool I gave her to help her reduce bending down, but instead repeatedly complaining to me about her back pain (+ other health & personal issues), etc. So, now, at ca. the 9th month mark, I'm retraining this PSW. I hope she is re-trainable (seemed a fast learner during the initial training) as I don't like changing my PSWs.

My Grandmother still receives care from a very kind care giver from Right at Home, Toronto.
I would highly recommend their services for your loved ones.

The past three months with Janelle and the Right at Home team have been the best care of all. What is the proof? My mother is happy, content, healthy, chatty and feels safe, and I can work either at home or at my office without worry or trepidation. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When your parent is sick and needs assistance that the health care system is not providing, it puts you in a very vulnerable place. Helen was an absolute pleasure to deal with from Day 1. She answered all of my questions and gave wonderful customer service to make sure the entire family was on board with my Dad's care plan. She was receptive to any feedback we had and quick to make changes to assure we were happy with the care being provided. I would recommend Right at Home to anyone needing this type of service.
