★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our community focuses on empowering women in the outdoors. Patrick did just that with our group! He took the five of us women to the summit of Mt. Temple. It was truly the WOW factor and honestly, we couldn’t have found a more caring and dedicated guide. He was confident and calm and made everyone feel comfortable. Ridgeline Guiding surpassed our expectations and now we have memories that will last a lifetime as this was a bucket list for all of us. As an Ambassador of Women Who Explore, I highly recommend Patrick. He made the day so much fun for all of us and each of us felt safe. Thank-you so much Patrick! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently spent two great weekends with Patrick from Ridgeline Guiding Services on his Ice:2 and Ice:3 courses and it was AWESOME! Booking was very easy through the Ridgeline website and course details, content and material was forwarded in advance via email by Patrick.
On the first day of the courses our team met for a quick overview and to go over gear and expectations of the course then it was right to climbing! The first weekend was COLD but Patrick kept us on our toes learning movement on ice and getting lots of climbing in, his positive attitude and persona definitely helped forget about the cold.
Over both weekends I learnt a tremendous amount, Patrick really knows his stuff and has a clear passion for sharing it and teaching guests/clients. I recommend Ridgeline Guiding Services to anyone looking to experience climbing Ice or improve their movement and current knowledge of it. I know I will be a returning customer with Ridgeline Guiding after these two great courses!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired Ridgeline Guiding Services to summit Mt Athabasca for a fundraising initiative I put together in support of a local charity. From the time I first reached out, Patrick was very willing to help and step up to support my idea and make my climb a success. His communication is great leading up to the scheduled date, letting you know when he will and won't be available. On the climb day, Patrick was enthusiastic, explained why we were doing different techniques, told stories and shared in the excitement. I think he went above and beyond. I am definitely going to use Ridgeline for future adventures, knowing that I will be safe and entertained! Thanks for the awesome experience :)

I did more laps than I thought I could at King Creek and the next week Ben coached me on my first lead climb ever! It's definitely boosted my confidence on ice and I learned so much and put it into use. A little encouragement goes a long way! See you next season

Larry was an exceptional instructor and took his time to teach us the proper technique while making us feel safe. This was my first time ice climbing, and it is safe to say I am hooked on the sport! I hope to take more courses through Ridgeline and cannot wait to get back out there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to try ice climbing as a last minute adventure during our Banff adventure. Patrick was quick to help pull together an amazing waterfall ice climbing trip. We were a party of four with mixed experience. He tailored a trip to meet our experience and the limited time we had. He took us to a beautiful location, set us up for success and encouraged us throughout the day. We had a fabulous, fun, challenging, safe and satisfying day. We will be back!
