The guide left for a few hours while we were making our shelters. The tarp structure they set up blew over and smashed my car, denting it. They wouldn’t do anything for me even though we didn’t have liability waivers signed. If you want to do this course, go camping somewhere with cell service and just watch some YouTube videos.

The weather wasn't the best (snowed 4 inches on the way out Saturday morning), but with Mark we made the best of it. He was a well versed and experienced guide in back country survival techniques and plant ecology, showing us proper preparation goes hand in hand with practical back country knowledge. We learned how to start fire, forage for food where available, build shelter and how to navigate to safety. Top that off with a beautiful hike on Sunday in thankfully sunny conditions. The weekend stands out as one to remember. Thanks Mark, I definitely recommend.

Marc was super approachable, and very willing to share his vast knowledge. We did hands on activities and he was very encouraging while doing so. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn about spending time outdoors, and learn a ton while doing so. Thanks Marc

He was prepared and on time, showed us so many interesting and amazing things that I'd never have learned otherwise, and was a great campfire cook! The day two hike and identifying plants was really cool, and we found a ton of edible goodness up there, including some wild strawberries. This course was good for the soul, would highly recommend!!

The scenery was beautiful, the tour itself was perfectly secluded and Marc was an excellent guide. Not only was he very knowledgeable of the local wilderness and history, but Marc was also just a great person to spend a day outdoors with. We will both definitely book with CWS&E again if ever in the area.

Marc was great in all of the lead up planning especially with COVID being a potential to delay the trip. All went ahead as planned though. Joel was our guide and he was phenomenal. Definitely great value for the price!
