About Rent-a-Tent Canada
Over the years, we have hosted many international friends who were interested in camping. Our friends were not looking forward to paying for, nor driving massive R.V.'s (motor homes) however. So, we started looking around for ways to rent a "typical car camping package". We could not find any that really worked. They were either: a tent plus some simple mats, or of poor quality.
In 2007 Rent-a-Tent Vancouver was launched. Our formula was so well received, that we launched a sister company in 2010 - Rent-a-Tent Banff. Today, we are collectively know as Rent-a-Tent Canada. The key to our success even through our growth, is our personal touch. Every guest we meet is treated like a visiting friend.
We look forward to meeting you on the West Coast, or in the Rockies. We really look forward to the stories you bring back to us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of friends and I decided to try a backpacking trip for the very first time! Our knowledge is minimal and had no idea what we need to make life comfortable for us. We were not prepared...That's when the Rent-a-Tent team came to the rescue. They provided us with the necessities, showed us how to use it, and accommodated our schedule. I highly recommend this team x 100! I would definitely use them again to help us with future adventure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First off, I thought I just wanted a tent rental as it was only my second time camping but decided to go with a package because it was just about $8 more. Turned out to be a really good deal because I needed the package and didn’t know it. Mike was really helpful to explain how the things worked. Was also super friendly and even gave tips on camping and campsites. I was returning after hours and they were in constant contact while trying to accommodate my return. Great customer service, great prices, would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As this was our first backpacking trip, we did not want to invest in full, lightweight backpacking gear. We had intended to rent from MEC, but with Covid, they had cancelled their rentals program for the remainder of 2020.
As such, we were scrambling to find a rental company that would be able to provide a lightweight rental for a tent, ground mats, stove etc. Luckily we found Rent-a-tent and were so happy that they were able to provide this service.
Not only were the prices fair, but Mark and his team had very quick response times that were extremely helpful. They were very prompt and more importantly, very accommodating for any extras we had asked to be built in with the rental. They built us a fully customized package based on what we needed. Moreover, they accommodated our special pickup request time (which was earlier than when they were open) and were kind when we had forgotten to drop off one of the items and had to go back a few days later.
All in all, Rent-a-tent saved our camping experience and more importantly made it super hassle free and enjoyable knowing that we were going to have the right equipment for the trip.
We would HIGHLY recommend that you book with Rent-a-Tent. You will not regret that you reached out to them first.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our experience at Rent-A-Tent Canmore was nothing short of amazing.
Mark signed our equipment out to us, and he was extremely knowledgable, efficient, and thorough. The equipment was in excellent shape, and we were provided with absolutely everything that we needed (including things we hadn't thought of that ended up being crucial items).
When we arrived earlier in the morning than our designated drop-off time (before the location had even opened), the other gentleman was super accommodating and also came in early to serve us.
Overall, a very easy, professional, and convenient service. On several times during our trip, we remarked how glad we were to have used this equipment rental service rather than having the burden of purchasing and flying with all of our stuff. If we get the chance to do another camping trip in the Rockies, we will definitely be calling Rent-a-Tent again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the first email I sent Mark to the pick up and drop off of our equipment, the Rent-a-Tent crew was AMAZING. They are super knowledgeable, their responses were timely and detailed, and in all our dealings they were so cordial and friendly.
They also have a great selection of items. I know their name is a Rent-a-Tent but they do more than tents; whatever your camping needs may be, chairs, backcountry backpacks, mats, they have it all.
Next time I go camping in Banff/surrounding areas, I will definitely be employing their services again.
Thank you Rent-a-Tent for making our trip such an awesome one!

The service was also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely rent from this company again. I can 100% recommend them.
