i went here for my tonsillitis, its been going on for about a few months now. i told my nurse i was having trouble eating and swallowing and occasionally breathing. i have been unable to gain weight and have been losing weight as a result from not being able to eat properly. I told my nurse this, i also had an ear infection which he looked at and gave me antibiotics for. when i got home i realized he had not given me any medication for my tonsillitis (i also have tonsil stones which i explained, and he looked in my throat and told me he saw the swelling) i woke up this morning having a hard time breathing and drinking due to the swelling and remembered i had no medication to take, we waited for the swelling to calm down but considered going to the hospital as i became extremely pale and almost became unconscious due to swelling and panic. I'm not quite sure why i didn't receive any medication. would this be considered a wrong practice?

Very unsettling last appointment. Back in January or February I had gone in for a cleaning and a checkup. I was told I had three cavities that needed filling. Unfortunately I was extremely busy with work so I was not able to go back until recently. When I went back for my appointment I was booked in for a filling. I sat down in the dental chair and without any type of assessment I was given a letter to sign. The letter said that I was told in January or February by the Doctor that I required a root canal on the tooth that I was there to have to have filled. I was in shock as this never happened and now over 7 months later I was being asked to sign a document that stated I had been told in my last appointment that my tooth required a root canal? This is not right. Now I see yet another review on here with another person saying the same thing. I mean how does a clinic book a person in for a filling and then try to have them sign a document the same day saying that filling is now a root canal. This is not right and I'm not sure if I will be returning here again. The doctor refused to even attempt at filling the tooth. I feel he did this to pressure me in order to get a root canal on a tooth I had been told required a filling. Also I was charged for a cleaning when I only received a partial cleaning with no fluoride and no polishing of my teeth. I have now filed a written complaint with the office manager regarding this issue. *Update went to an other dentist. Did NOT require a root canal as I was told I needed at reach. Don't think I will be returning to this dentist again.

Doctors and nurses are nice, but the receptionist, an asian lady is so rude and impolite, quite unprofessional servicing skills. The staffs at the pharmacy has poor attitude. Asked them about the waiting time and procedures after seeing the nurse, and they just very rude ask you wait and said know nothing about the other sections. What the hell is going on inside, did they get proper training to serve patients?

Needed an emergency prescription. Walked in to find out it would be a 2hr wait because of urgency of my case. Went to the pharmacist inside Reach and the professionals there helped me in the matter of minutes. They went above and beyond to refill my prescription to tie me over. Saved me two hours of my life waiting. Thank you! You guys rock!

Very rude receptionist! We were told that we had an appointment at 2pm and arrived 5 minutes early. We were then told that our appointment was actually in 20 mins. The receptionist told us to wait outside in the cold; it was -1 degrees. We are 70+ years old! We had already seen people sitting inside, confused why we weren’t allowed to sit inside and wait. We tried to reason with them. We wanted to ask what her name was; she had become furious with us and hid her name badge. The receptionist threatened us by saying that she would report us to the police with all the personal information that we had originally provided. She tried to stop us from leaving. What kind of service is she providing to the public? As we were not welcomed, we had left to another health centre hoping for a better experience than this. We will not be going back there ever again!

Dr. completely missed that I had appendicitis the afternoon I went and I ended up at the emergency that night with septic shock. The Dr. was kind, but was only concerned with COVID despite none of my symptoms being COVID related (Sharp abdominal pain). Her electric blood pressure machine was not working properly and stated that it had not been working well lately. She did not take my blood pressure manually, which she should have. She said she would only do blood tests on me after my COVID results came back negative. I don't believe I experienced proper care at this clinic.

It's somewhat fine as long as you're able to manage your own health care. Doctors are mostly good but too overloaded and there's high turnover. You will not be notified of any referrals or appointments made for you (and then will get in trouble for missing appointments, which you were never told about...) They won't keep track of when you're due for things like cancer screenings, you have to be on top of that yourself. Very limited in person appointments, usually takes 3-4 weeks to get in to see anyone. They've had some locum doctors in lately, presumably to try to ease the strain, but they've been terrible. Waste of an appointment. There are some upsides in that they don't charge for things like forms or notes, and they offer longer appointments than most clinics do, which can be helpful. The pharmacy is absolutely fantastic, I will continue going to them even if I manage to find a new doctor at another clinic. Most of the reception staff are helpful and kind but not all, I have heard them making disparaging comments about other patients audible to everyone in the waiting room which I thought was really inappropriate. Good luck trying to get through on their phone lines. I have also made appointments by phone which mysteriously disappeared in their system. I guess this is the best Vancouver has to offer but it isn't exactly great. I wish they would fix their organizational and staffing issues because it could be a great resource but as it is, my healthcare needs are not met and things get missed a lot. Be prepared to research and manage your own healthcare needs if you come here. If you do not initiate, really push the issue, and follow up on every little thing then nothing happens.

Been coming to this clinic since 1974 and though many doctors and nurses have come and gone they always have the greatest caring professionals on their team. I will never leave this clinic and have complete faith and trust in them to take the best care of my needs and treat me as a valued partner in my care. My current GP is Dr. Wick and I have been her patient for 30 years and is the best! Thank you all for your amazing service.
