A	Adrian Sinclair on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Because I work an office job, my body barely moves all day. In the winter especially, I am quite sedentary. This hot, immersive, deep physical practice has become the best way for me to stay balanced and embodied. The classes are a perfect mix of lightheartedness and challenge. My favorite part is how my mind feels after a class: lighter, clearer and unburdened. I could not recommend this studio more. It's a hot and sometimes diffucult 90 minutes, but it's worth it!

I've been going to this studio for 5 years and cant even think about practicing elsewhere. Breath is life. In bikram classes they do 10 minutes of continuous breathing to energize the entire body. In no other yoga class do I feel as safe as a 90 minute bikram class, knowing that after ten whole minutes of deep breathing, my body is connected to my mind so much that I can safely push my body to its maximum strength and flexibility.

The large windows in the hot studio allow light, sunshine and amazing sunrises to lift my spirit and my practice. The instructors truly care about the students and the yoga, not just the physical practice but also the mental and soulful aspects. I came to Bikrams Yoga through my acupuncturists recommendation for my shoulder injury. And, I came to the studio on Commercial Drive because it’s within walking distance in my neighbourhood. Best decision I ever made! Three years later my shoulder has made amazing recovery in range of motion. Physically, I’m in the best shape ever. Mentally I have more clarity, belief in my potential, and sense of purpose. Emotionally, I am stronger, more calm, and prepared to face inevitable obstacles. At this studio I have been fortunate to form friendships with like minded people. Coffee and conversation after class are the best! I am ever so grateful! A special thanks to Christian (leader & visionary for the yoga & the studio), for his continued support. And a special mention to Fador the canine mascot who sets the example of relaxed chill, and always makes me smile just by hanging out in the lobby.

It is such a community there with the students and teachers. I was nervous my first time as I’m not a bendy flexible person, and still not! But I’ve had a herniated disc in 2004 and two broken bones in the past 5 years. This hot yoga has helped me immensely to not reinjure my back and helped with mobility of all my other joints too. I can really tell how my body is missing it during the pandemic, there is nothing like it!! A great little studio with windows , in a great area!!

By far, the greatest overall yoga experience That I have ever had was at the Bikram studio on Commercial drive. As soon as you step into the space you are transfixed into an artists dream world, colourful imagery and positive affirmations ascend with you to the top of the stair case. Once inside, you are comfortably welcomed into a community that feels more like family. No discrimination- all walks of life welcome and encouraged to live your best and most authentic self. The instructors are the kind of teachers we all need in our life. With effortless and charismatic demeanours that make you feel safe to go deeper than you’ve ever gone before- all with a smiling, happy face to do so. They push you the way we wish we could continuously push ourselves. This studio is a landmark, a safe haven, a place to make your dreams come true. Ever grateful for its existence. ??

What really makes the space exceptional is the energy. The teachers are encouraging, non judgmental and guide you to do what is right for your body while still practicing traditional Bikram yoga. Words cannot describe my gratitude for this space, and I thank them so much for having me.
