★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently purchased a hybrid bike from re-Cycles for $120. The customer service was good and the employees/volunteers really know about bikes. That being said, on my first ride with the new bike my rear wheel popped after about 10km. It turns out that the rear wheel inner tube was too big and someone simply folded it back on itself within the tire. Furthermore the rim tape was ripped. I will now have to replace both of these parts.
I would recommend that the employees/volunteers engage in a more thorough examination of bikes before they offer them for sale.

A great place to shop for an affordable bicycle and their DIY workspace has let me maintain my bike through several years including winter commutes. Also my go to shop for affordable parts and friendly expertise. I love that they serve the community with kids bike donation programs and a commitment to accessible and welcoming spaces. Highly recommend checking them out and even volunteering some time there if you want to support them or just learn some invaluable bike maintenance skills!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got my first bike since year 2012. All the staff are very friendly. Grace was super helpful and patient, Dan is an bikipedia who untangled all my bike related confusions. Absolutely some of the best human on the planet. Highly recommend checking out the shop if you’re looking for a reliable used bike.
