I heard a man call a recliner "sexy". There were no recliners. Always great staff and lots of things, just not a recliner that day. Check back another day and maybe you can find an actual sexy recliner.

Again I wish I didn't have to give 1 star but in order to write this review I had no choice. Let me start to say that Salvation Army became one of the Filthiest Greediest Crooks on this Planet. Not only this one here in Bank St but all of them. Today I'll speak about the Bank St the one who is run by the Spanish Family or a judging by their attitude and behaviour I think Mafia is more appropriate. I entered inside and was beyond disgusted. You used to be able to find great deals at low prices, quality stuff for cheap. Then they decided to keep the good stuff to put in the "Auction" (which is now rigged big time) now they neither have anything good things in the store or the auction. They rarely fill new stuff I still see things from 1 YEAR AGO. And if you see their donation area it's so FULL and they always have guys going through the stuff and making deals on what they want to take. Salvation Army is supposed to be for people who cannot afford, high costs for daily things, it became so expensive you can almost buy the same stuff new in the stores. All their clothing, shoes are NO BRANDS. Toys are old most broken. And if they do have let's say a North Face jacket jacket don't have your hopes up high as you'll have to pay between $50-$100!!! Customer Service are so rude it's disgusting. Once I was there they refused to help a woman with her donations; a heavy coffee table saying that they had no one that could help her. Another time they were barking at Newcomers who did not speak good the language, I mean they were so racist it was shocking!!! Even if you gave me money and time in this store I really would not be able to buy ANYTHING. The sad thing is, that they get everything for FREE!!! And then they have the nerve to stand in the grocery stores asking for money. Shame Disgusting Shame. No way are they a non-profit organization. No way. Criminals that's what they are.

A regular thrift-shop stop for me. Although their prices seem to be increasing, they are nowhere near the outrageous pricing I now see in Value village stores. The staff are usually friendly and the money collected at these stores goes to really good causes. I stop in at least once a week !!

This is my go-to because it is closest to where I live. I refuse to go to Value Village across the street as they are a for-profit organization and their prices are outrageous for a thrift store. However having said that, I have to say there are a few problems with this one. There is no handicap parking near it; nor are people in wheelchairs, walkers or moms with toddlers in strollers able to maneuver through the entrance without difficulty or hurting themselves, or damaging their valuable mobility devices. It is anything but handicap friendly. The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful but the store is set up that even with a walker I cannot walk around the store without obstacles at every turn. Aisles that are not wide enough or merchandise on the floor preventing anyone from steering around them without ending up falling. I have also noticed in the last year that the prices are skyrocketing to near Value Village prices!!! How does this help the poor and disabled who are trying to make ends meet? The auctions are fun, but lately I've noticed that there are some serious outside or inside bidders that will overbid so high that it is impossible for the average person to bid on things. As well, you cannot even look at these items for auction until 2 days before. I suspect a lot of these things are either going to staff themselves or to a "consignment shop" and the owners are inflating the price further and pocketing the cash. They have tried numerous designs to the stores layout but none seem to work and the same problems occur over and over. It's really too bad because as I said, the staff are awesome and hard working. But whoever manages this thrift store should really move on into retail as their pricing is way too high for this type of establishment.

Being very conscious of sustainable and secondhand fashion and not into fast fashion, I often thrift at the Salvation Army. It has a decent selection of clothing depending on the location. It is usually clean and the racks are always tidy. The staff are quite friendly! I am never disappointed at what I am able to find. And it’s super fun to do with friends! I encourage everyone to attempt thrifting rather than be part of an industry that produces copious amounts of waste, slowly being detrimental to this already fragile planet.

Medium location with good assortment. Staff could do a better job of keeping clothes sorted properly on the racks though, and asking customers to help in that regard with overhead announcements. Fair parking lot experience.

Decent collection. We needed to buy some temporary winter jackets and good quality. Worth a visit. It had better jacket collection than the local value village during our visit.
