Ramada by Wyndham Nanaimo

Just found a dirty diaper beside the bed. (We have pictures) Finger nail clippings. This place is disgusting. $180 a night gets us this? What a joke. Refused to discount room, just offered to move us. The new room had candy bar wrappers on the ground. This place is straight up gross.

Clean apartments and pleasent other than entry light doesn't work, bedside table light led blown, clock off and can't adjust, vending machine (only one) is mostly empty.

Good clean room, nothing to complain about. Breakfast is back to normal. There’s only 1 guy working doing too much for such busy hotel. He brings only 5 sausages at the time, so if you couldn’t grab your sausage, you have to wait for another 5-sausages-bunch to warm up. They only have 1 toaster and people have to line up to get their bread toasted. It’s ridiculous! I’d suggest the hotel to purchase an extra toaster. Waffle is okay, served with aunt Jemima syrup. Fruit choice: an apple and orange. Activa yougurt and cereal. Coffee is ok, but again lots of people and the guy can’t keep an eye on when coffee is out. Overall don’t expect breakfast to be good but ok to fill you in for the day.

This would be the Ramada Inn on, Terminal Ave Nanaimo BC. In the Autumn months as leaves fall from the trees people gather independent from one and another with a similar goal and to end their lives through an act of suicide. In fact I don't know what makes people choose this location but they do. The service here is very professional and confidential. Guest services will gladly assist patrons with luggages and each room is quite spacious as is peaceful. Lots of corporate visitors mix well with tourists as both visitor's seem to enjoy their stay very much so. Tons of free parking and appears much improvement has been made to the menus which was a well needed change for the Ramada Inn. I would safely grant three out of five stars to this establishment. The rooms are clean and tolerated temperate. The beds are cozy but hot. The lobby is friendly bright and the staff are terrific as they really go out if their way to ensure you're stay I'd say is entirely pleasant. The signs are clearly very visible and thus directions are not required. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for customer's use. Spacious guest areas including leather sofas which again I find very comforting. Lastly privacy and security are taken very seriously as staff protect you're interests. Movies are available for a price but awesome. moreover I wish there were more balconies but again. Four floors is pretty nice. Also there a Garden outside on the top floor for people to see and wander about. Bus stop is located just outside on Terminal Ave N and overall parties are much so welcoming. Security does check in and it's only Paladin security which id say is a mind you're own business type of guard services.

If I could give it a zero star I would, absolute trash hotel. I booked a hotel room for the night and slept in my car due to their incompetent scheduling staff. Never seen a room and there was not a single drop of sympathy or sorryness they straight up did not care. This place looked like it could have been alright but the fact that I didn't try to check in until later makes me think that they thought I was not coming so resold the room to someone else. I would book a room at any small dingy motel before even considering this place. DO NOT STAY HERE! I CONFIMRED WITH BOOKING 2 TIMES THAT MY HOTEL WAS BOOKED HERE, I EVEN CALLED DAY OF AND THEY CONFIRMED. anyways thank God I always bring a pillow and a blanket in my car.

This was the only hotel we could find a room in, my expectations going in weren't that high anyways. I'm not too picky as long as the room I'm staying in is clean, and I have a comfy bed to lay my head on - those boxes were checked! I am a huge review reader before I stay, and I did see a lot of complaints about rude customer service at the front desk - that was true for check in, but check out was super nice! I also read a couple reviews that mentioned stained carpets - ours had stains, but as I said it was overall clean, stains come with time, didn't bother me. I would have given a higher star rating had the place actually included breakfast. I was aware before I went that they wouldn't be offering it - they do have little grab bags, but with other establishments opening up their breakfast again, it would be nice if they followed suit. Maybe short staffed though? I do think that they should offer a lower price due to that. Rooms are pretty big, and ours had a deck! Shower pressure was great! Nice pillows. Good range of TV channels!

5 of us stayed at this hotel last week and it was honestly the worst experience ever! No Customer Service, no going above and beyond! We travel across the country on a regular basis and have never had such bad service! I asked the front desk for hot water to make a tea in my room and after she sighed like I was putting her out, she said she did not have keys to the infamous breakfast room. When I begged a little more she said there was a coffee machine in the room and I could make my own! If you are a tea drinker you do not want tea out of that machine as it will taste like coffee. I pushed a little more, and she miraculously found the key then stumbled around the kitchen only to come out empty handed. The shower needs an upgrade as well. The water pressure is non-existent and will not take the shampoo out. The sink faucet is missing the screen and therefore sprays all over the place when you turn it on. The rooms are big and clean but does not make up for the very poor Customer Service! We will never stay there again!

Clean rooms and spacious. Although because of covid they don't proper breakfast anymore. We stayed here because our ferry got canceled. It's a good place to rest for the night:)
