Terrific Appliance Service store!! During this covid pandemic our dishwasher decided after 15 years it had enough & we needed a new one ! We went online checked out different dishwashers picked out one we wanted ,phoned RAM Appliance Services talked to Charlie, very knowledgeable friendly salesman ,he ordered it told us it would be a long wait because of covid (through no fault of theirs) when it finally came in & set up the installation that same day our old dishwasher died! Next day new one was installed by a very professional friendly installer , excellent timing!! The whole experience was stress free! in these covid times, never entered a store all done by phone & online! We would highly recommend RAM Appliance Services LTD.!!! Not sure how they stay in business? GE appliances made a service requests on our behalf due to our range being under warranty. After waiting 2 weeks for a response I called back and a second service request was made. This was over a week ago and still no response. I understand companies can be busy but come on. At least have the courtesy and professionalism a return phone call.

Have to take a couple stars off here for 2 reasons. 1. was that I went into the store with a defrost issue looking for a thermistor but a gentleman working there said he just had the same issue and that the board was going to be the problem, so I bought it at $275 and installed it myself. Very straight forward. When it turned out to actually be the thermistor it cost me another $225 for a repairman to diagnose and take 30 minute to fix it (he didn't even have the part on him, whats up with that). $70 for troubleshoot, $70 for their hourly rate and $60 for the part. Plus tax... 2. Be aware, they do not give you a decent window to be home, they just call you in the morning and tell you at that point when they are going to be there, say goodbye to your day if you work for a living. Not overly impressive service wise, in store or field, be aware that the $70 service call fee doesn't include them hooking up the new parts about $70/hour. Total time spent working on the thing was less than 30 min. Charged $10 also for being in mill bay. Competitive pricing or not i feel that this this should be built into their hourly rate, however if I would have just had them out in the first place I could have saved some cash.

We called this company because we were having a problem with the electronics in our refrigerator. We provided make and model and were told that it was probably the motherboard, how much that part would be, plus labour. The call was assigned to a tech who came out, but without the part. He stood in the kitchen and said the exact same thing that was said on the phone and that he would have to order the part, which was now 25% more than we were told on the phone. This guy did not β€œdiagnose” the situation while he was here. He stood in the kitchen. He did not pull the fridge out to ensure it was indeed was the motherboard. He got zero new information. And we were charged $99.70 for that β€œservice call.” I called the company and was told the reason for the service call charge was because they told us there would be a service call charge. But there was NO SERVICE performed! I was told we had the benefit of the tech’s 20 years of experience. What benefit? If he needed to confirm it was the motherboard before ordering the part, that is fair. That’s a service call. But he didn’t do that. He didn’t discover anything, he didn’t confirm anything. He ran no diagnostics. He did not observe the motherboard. He knew absolutely nothing more about the situation after coming here than he did when he arrived. He stood in the kitchen for five minutes. So what was the point of his visit?? We have lived here for over twenty years and have dealt with numerous tradespeople, yet this is my first complaint. I do NOT recommend doing business with this company.

We had RAM Appliances deal with a warranty issue for our GE Washer. RAM's service was great...GE's not so much as they took weeks to send the wrong part, then took weeks to replace it. I'd recommend RAM for serviceing but not the GE appliances

Wanted to buy a water supply hose for my fridge. Was quoted $90. Went to hardware store paid $2.15 for the same length of hose. I would have paid RAM $20, but the greed is mind blowing. I can't be bothered to calculate the percentage of markup.

My washing machine broke down. Running an Airbnb I was in a bit of a lather (no pun intended). What a delight to speak with "Margaret" at R.A.M., who was courteous, professional, understanding, and efficient. These days such stellar customer support is a rarity. Margaret arranged for "Evan" to fit me in at the end of that same day. Evan arrived when he said he would - and quickly pinpointed the problem. He took the time to locate the necessary part more locally to speed up repairs. I have nothing but praise for the service, and customer care that I received from R.A.M. - and am grateful that I am no longer in danger of suffocation from my growing pile of laundry.

Wonderful locally owned establishment. Fantastic service from both Charlie and his delivery counterparts. Pleasant , professional, and courteous. I will continue to support them. Currently box stores have a three or four month wait for appliances. We had service next day after gas technician was lined up.
